완주군이 17일과 19일, 관내 장기요양기관 종사자 250명을 대상으로 노인인권교육을 실시했다. 17일에는 교육과 함께 노인인권지킴이 협의체 회의도 열려 교육의 의미를 더했다.

이번 교육은 고령 인구 증가에 따라 어르신의 권익 보호와 인권 존중이 중요해지는 가운데, 현장 종사자들의 역할을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 실제 사례 중심의 강의로 진행돼, 노인학대 예방과 인권 감수성 향상에 실질적인 도움이 됐다는 평가를 받았다.

유희태 완주군수는 “장기요양기관 종사자들의 따뜻한 돌봄이 어르신 삶에 큰 힘이 되고 있다”며 “이번 교육을 통해 어르신 인권 보호에 실질적인 변화가 일어나길 기대한다”고 말했다.

완주군은 최근 인구 10만 명을 돌파하며 성장세를 이어가고 있으며, 이에 맞춰 노인 복지 향상에도 지속적인 노력을 기울이고 있다.

This education was organized to strengthen the role of on-site staff members as the protection of the rights and respect for the elderly become increasingly important due to the aging population. The training, which focused on actual cases, received positive evaluations for its practical help in preventing elderly abuse and enhancing human rights sensitivity.

Yoo Hee-tae, the Wanju County Mayor, stated, "The warm care provided by staff members in long-term care facilities is a great support in the lives of the elderly," and expressed hope that through this education, there would be tangible changes in the protection of the elderly's human rights.

Wanju County has recently surpassed a population of 100,000, continuing its growth trend, and is making continuous efforts to improve elderly welfare in line with this growth.
