순창군이 독서 문화 확산과 독후 표현 능력 향상을 위해 ‘2025 순창군 독서문화진흥 공모전’을 개최한다. 접수 기간은 8월 22일까지다.

이번 공모전은 ‘책에 나를 담다’를 주제로, △손편지 쓰기 부문(책, 마음을 담다) △독서사진 부문(책, 시간을 담다) 등 두 부문으로 진행되며, 전 국민 누구나 참여할 수 있다.

손편지 부문은 초‧중‧고 학생부와 일반부로 나뉘며, ‘설공찬전’을 읽고 책 속 인물에게 손편지를 작성해 순창군립도서관에 직접 방문하거나 우편으로 제출하면 된다. 독서사진 부문은 도서관, 서점, 여행지 등 다양한 장소에서 책과 함께한 순간을 사진으로 촬영해 이메일로 접수하면 된다.

시상은 부문별로 각각 이뤄지며, 손편지 부문은 총 12명(최우수상 1명, 우수상 2명, 장려상 3명씩), 독서사진 부문은 총 6명(동일 기준)을 선정해 총상금 300만 원을 수여한다.

군 관계자는 “공모전을 통해 독서가 일상으로 스며드는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며 국민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 당부했다.

This contest, with the theme 'Reflecting Myself in a Book,' will be conducted in two categories: △Handwritten Letter Writing Section (Reflecting Books, Hearts) △Reading Photo Section (Reflecting Books, Time), and anyone nationwide can participate.

The Handwritten Letter section is divided into elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as a general section. Participants can write a letter to a character in the book 'Seolgongchanjeon,' and submit it directly to the Suncheon Municipal Library or by mail. The Reading Photo section requires participants to take a photo of a moment with a book in various places such as libraries, bookstores, and travel destinations, and submit it via email.

Awards will be given separately for each section, with a total of 12 winners in the Handwritten Letter section (1 grand prize, 2 excellence awards, 3 encouragement awards each) and 6 winners in the Reading Photo section (following the same criteria), receiving a total prize of 3 million won.

An official from the county expressed hope that the contest would be an opportunity for reading to become a part of daily life and urged the public to show interest and participate.
