전주시는 16일 해성고등학교 강당에서 1~2학년 재학생 386명을 대상으로 ‘청소년 인문융합 진로 콘서트’를 개최했다.

‘인공지능이 도전한다, 인간은 어떻게 맞설래’라는 주제로 열린 이번 강연에는 철학자 김재인 경희대 교수가 초청돼, 인공지능 시대에 인간의 존재와 역할에 대해 철학적으로 고찰하는 시간을 가졌다.

김 교수는 “AI 시대일수록 인간은 스스로 사고할 줄 알아야 한다”고 강조하며, 인간이 사고와 결정을 기계에 의존할 때 발생할 수 있는 위험성과 인간 고유의 가치를 학생들의 눈높이에 맞춰 설명했다.

시는 이번 강연이 청소년들에게 자기 성찰의 기회를 제공하고, 인문학적 통찰을 통해 진로 탐색의 폭을 넓히는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

김선옥 전주시 평생학습과장은 “앞으로도 청소년이 자기 삶을 주체적으로 설계할 수 있도록 인문예술 기반의 진로 특강을 확대하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 전주시는 올해 총 8개교 2,096명의 학생을 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 인문융합 진로 콘서트’를 운영 중이다.

Under the theme "Artificial Intelligence Challenges, How Will Humans Respond," philosopher Professor Kim Jae-in from Kyung Hee University was invited to speak at the event, where he philosophically reflected on the existence and role of humans in the age of artificial intelligence.

Professor Kim emphasized, "In the era of AI, humans must know how to think for themselves," explaining to students the dangers that can arise when humans rely on machines for thinking and decision-making, as well as the unique value of humans.

The city expects that this lecture will provide young people with an opportunity for self-reflection and broaden their career exploration through humanistic insights.

Jeonju City's Head of Lifelong Learning, Kim Seon-ok, stated, "We will continue to expand humanistic career special lectures based on arts to enable young people to autonomously design their lives."

Meanwhile, this year, Jeonju City is operating the "Outreach Humanities Integration Career Concert" for a total of 2,096 students from 8 schools.
