전북현대모터스FC(이하 전북현대)가 2주간의 휴식을 마치고 더욱 강해져서 돌아온다.

전북현대가 오는 8일 저녁 7시 30분 전주월드컵경기장(이하 전주성)에서 ‘FRUITS FRIDAY’ 테마로 FC 안양과 K리그1 25라운드 홈경기를 치른다.

전북현대는 이번 휴식기에 휴가를 통해 여름내 지친 체력을 회복하고 복귀 후에는 주중 경기가 예정된 하반기를 위해 더욱 강한 훈련으로 체력 증진에 중점을 뒀다.

특히 체력훈련을 통해 팀을 더욱 단단히 만든 전북현대는 팀 내 부상자도 제로(Zero)로 만들어 오는 안양전 승리를 자신한다.

전북현대에 이날 경기의 승리는 승점 3점만큼 중요한 의미가 또 있다.

지난 26일 광주전 승리로 K리그1 4연승을 포함해 20경기 무패 행진을 이어가고 있는 전북현대는 안양을 상대로 역사적인 기록을 이어가겠다는 각오다.

전북현대는 이날 경기에서도 승리 시 21경기 무패로 1991년 부산(05/08 ~ 08/31)이 세운 기록과 함께 공동 역대 4번째이자 단일 시즌으로는 2번째 최다 무패 기록을 달성한다.

이날 경기는 앞서 알려진 대로 ‘FRUITS FRIDAY’ 테마 홈경기를 빛내기 위해 아티스트 박재범이 하프타임 공연을 진행한다.
