정읍시는 8일 시청 대회의실에서 ‘2025년 하계 대학생 아르바이트’에 참여한 대학생 50명과 간담회를 열었다. 이번 행사는 4주간의 근무를 마친 학생들의 노고를 격려하고, 현장에서 느낀 소감과 시정 발전 의견을 청취하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 학생들은 소감문 발표와 이학수 시장과의 대화를 통해 경험을 나눴다. 한솔지역아동센터에서 근무한 한 학생은 “아이들과 마음을 나누며 책임감을 느꼈고, 웃음소리가 끊이지 않을 때마다 의미 있는 일이라는 생각이 들었다”며 “정읍시가 청년과 지역사회를 함께 생각하고 있다는 증거”라고 말했다.

시는 지난 겨울방학에도 50명을 선발해 동계 대학생 아르바이트를 운영했으며, 앞으로도 청년 자립과 성장을 지원하는 정책을 적극 발굴·추진할 계획이다.

On the 8th, Jeongeup City held a meeting with 50 university students who participated in the '2025 Summer College Student Part-time Job' at the City Hall conference room. The event was organized to encourage the efforts of students who completed 4 weeks of work and to listen to their impressions and opinions on the development of the city.

On that day, the students shared their experiences through personal reflections and conversations with Mayor Lee Hak-soo. One student who worked at Hansol Local Children's Center said, "Sharing my heart with the children made me feel a sense of responsibility, and every time their laughter didn't stop, I felt that it was a meaningful job," adding, "It is evidence that Jeongeup City is thinking about young people and the local community together."

The city also recruited 50 students for the Winter College Student Part-time Job during the last winter vacation, and plans to actively explore and promote policies that support youth independence and growth in the future.
