전북특별자치도가 갑작스러운 경제적 위기에 처한 도민 지원을 위해 ‘전북형 긴급복지지원사업’ 기준을 완화했다. 도는 보건복지부와 사회보장제도 변경 협의를 마치고 이달 1일부터 개선안을 시행했다고 8일 밝혔다.

소득 기준은 기존 ‘기준 중위소득 75% 초과~85% 이하’에서 ‘85% 이하’로 확대했으며, 1인 가구 금융재산 한도는 839만 2천 원에서 1,039만 2천 원으로 상향했다. 이에 따라 정부 긴급복지 기준을 초과해 지원에서 제외됐던 일부 저소득층도 혜택을 받을 수 있게 됐다.

지원 대상은 주소득자의 사망·실직·가출, 중한 질병·부상, 화재 등으로 생계유지가 어려운 가구이며, 생계비·의료비·주거비 등이 지원된다. 이번 완화로 연간 145가구 이상이 새롭게 혜택을 받을 것으로 전망된다.

양수미 전북도 사회복지정책과장은 “복지 사각지대를 해소하고 어려움에 처한 도민에게 먼저 손을 내미는 정책이 될 것”이라고 말했다.

The province announced on the 8th that it had implemented the improvements from the 1st of this month after concluding discussions with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and social security system changes.

The income criteria have been expanded from the previous 'over 75% to under 85% of the median income' to '85% or less', and the financial asset limit for single-person households has been raised from 8,392,000 won to 10,392,000 won. As a result, some low-income groups that were excluded from support for exceeding government emergency welfare standards will now be able to receive benefits.

The support targets households facing difficulties in maintaining their livelihoods due to the death, unemployment, runaway, serious illness, injury, fire, etc., of the primary income earner, providing support for living expenses, medical expenses, housing expenses, etc. It is expected that more than 145 households will benefit from this relaxation annually.

Yang Su-mi, head of the Social Welfare Policy Department in Jeonbuk Province, stated, "This will be a policy that resolves welfare blind spots and extends a helping hand to residents in need."
