지난 1일부터 12일까지 경남 밀양에서 열린 이번 대회에서 ‘제스트’는 작품 **「편지가 늦었소」**로 금상(교육부장관상)을 수상했으며, 2학년 이현서 학생이 우수연기상을 수상해 작품성과 연기력을 모두 인정받았다.
‘편지가 늦었소’는 세 할머니가 스무 살의 자신에게 보내는 편지를 통해 삶의 끝자락에서 다시 꿈을 꾸는 용기와 위로를 전하는 작품이다. 배우들의 진정성 있는 연기와 깊이 있는 메시지가 관객과 심사위원들의 마음을 사로잡았다.
전주제일고 연극부 ‘제스트’는 연극을 사랑하는 학생들이 모여 무대의 즐거움과 협업의 가치를 배우며 활동하는 동아리다. 대본 연습, 무대 구성, 공연 등 모든 과정을 학생들이 주도적으로 진행하며, 매년 완성도 높은 작품을 선보이기 위해 노력하고 있다.
이번 수상은 현동규·조경주 지도교사와 정광익 연극강사의 세심한 지도 아래 이뤄낸 성과로, 학교 측은 이번 성취를 계기로 학생들의 창의력과 예술적 역량을 더욱 발전시켜 나갈 계획이다.

"The Letter Arrived Late" is a piece that conveys courage and comfort at the end of life through a letter sent by three grandmothers to their twenty-year-old selves, inspiring dreams once again. The actors' sincere performances and profound message captivated the hearts of the audience and judges.
The theater club 'ZEST' at Jeonju Jeil High School is a club where students who love theater come together to learn the joy of the stage and the value of collaboration.
