무주군이 군민 건강증진을 위해 ‘4060 한의약 건강교실’을 운영하고 있다. 이번 프로그램은 지난 11일부터 25일까지 무주보건의료원 건강증진센터에서 진행되며, 고령화와 생활습관 변화로 증가하는 만성질환을 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.

참여 주민들은 개인 증상에 따른 한방침과 한약 처방을 비롯해 혈압·혈당·콜레스테롤 측정 등 기초 건강검사와 이동 금연 클리닉 서비스를 받을 수 있다. 한 주민은 “무릎과 허리 통증으로 상담과 침 시술을 받았는데 생활 습관과 운동법까지 배워 큰 도움이 됐다”고 소감을 전했다.

또한 지난 12일에는 아동·청소년 유관기관 실무자 40여 명을 대상으로 소진예방 교육 ‘마음의 온도 향기로 채우다’가 열렸다. 아로마테라피, 명상, 맞춤 향수 제작 등을 통해 정서적 회복을 돕는 프로그램으로, 한 참가자는 “향기로 마음을 치유하고 스스로를 돌아보는 뜻깊은 시간이 됐다”고 말했다.

무주군은 앞으로도 군민 맞춤형 보건사업을 통해 만성질환 관리, 인지 강화, 정신 건강 증진 등 건강생활 실천 환경을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

Muju County is operating the '4060 Traditional Medicine Health Class' to promote the health of its residents. This program, which started on the 11th and will run until the 25th, is being held at the Health Promotion Center of Muju Health and Medical Center, and is designed to prevent the increasing chronic diseases due to aging and changes in lifestyle habits.

Participants can receive services such as traditional medicine treatment and prescription based on individual symptoms, basic health check-ups including blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol measurements, as well as access to a mobile smoking cessation clinic. One resident shared their impression, saying, "I received counseling and acupuncture for knee and back pain, and learned about lifestyle habits and exercise methods, which was a great help."

Furthermore, on the 12th, a preventive education program called 'Filling the Temperature and Fragrance of the Heart' was held for around 40 practitioners from child and adolescent-related organizations. This program, aimed at emotional recovery through aromatherapy, meditation, and custom perfume making, was well-received by participants, with one saying, "It was a meaningful time to heal the mind with fragrance and reflect on oneself."

Muju County plans to continue expanding the environment for practicing healthy living through tailored health programs for residents, focusing on chronic disease management, cognitive enhancement, and mental health promotion.
