김제학생교육문화관(관장 김영주)은 4일 김제 금산면 금산사와 금평저수지 일대에서 ‘줍깅’ 활동과 ‘자기 쓰레기 되가져가기’ 캠페인을 펼치며 3분기 자원봉사활동을 실시했다.

이번 활동은 지역 환경 보호와 일회용 쓰레기 감축을 위한 실천 중심의 봉사로, 참여자들은 조깅하며 쓰레기를 줍는 ‘줍깅’과 함께 개인 쓰레기를 직접 처리하자는 캠페인을 병행하며 ESG 실천에 앞장섰다.

김제학생교육문화관은 매 분기 지역사회 기여를 위한 자원봉사활동을 지속적으로 운영하고 있으며, 앞으로도 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 이어갈 계획이다.

김영주 관장은 “직원들이 함께 지역 환경 보호에 나섰다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “공공기관으로서의 사회적 책임을 다하고, 전북교육의 긍정적인 메시지를 전하는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.

On the 4th, Kimje Student Education and Culture Center (Director Kim Young-joo) conducted the third quarter volunteer activity by organizing a 'plogging' activity and a campaign to 'take back your own trash' in the area of Geumsansa and Geumpyeong Reservoir in Geumsan-myeon, Kimje.

This activity focused on practical volunteer work for local environmental protection and reducing disposable waste. Participants took the lead in ESG practices by combining 'plogging,' which involves picking up trash while jogging, with a campaign to handle personal trash directly.

Kimje Student Education and Culture Center continues to operate volunteer activities for local community contributions every quarter and plans to carry out various social contribution activities in the future.

Director Kim Young-joo stated, "It is significant that our staff members have actively participated in local environmental protection. I hope this will fulfill our social responsibility as a public institution and serve as an opportunity to convey a positive message about education in Jeollabuk Province."
