완주군이 미래 기술 인재 양성을 위한 체험 프로그램을 통해 피지컬 AI 분야 선도 지자체로서의 입지를 강화하고 있다.

군은 지난 3일 완주군청소년수련관에서 가족 단위 참가자 100여 명이 참여한 가운데 ‘피지컬 AI 자율주행 로봇 여행’을 성황리에 개최했다.

이번 행사는 4차 산업혁명의 핵심 기술인 피지컬 AI와 자율주행 로봇을 청소년들이 직접 체험하며 원리를 배우는 교육 프로그램으로, 참가자들은 블록 코딩, 크레용, 스크래치 등을 활용해 로봇을 조종하고 장애물 회피, 주차 등의 실생활 기반 미션을 수행했다.

이를 통해 창의적 문제 해결력과 논리적 사고력을 기를 수 있는 교육의 장이 됐다는 평가다. 완주군은 앞서 7월에도 피지컬 AI 기반 모빌리티 실증 세미나를 열며 관련 산업 중심지로 주목받고 있다.

유희태 완주군수는 “AI와 로봇 기술이 빠르게 발전하는 시대에 청소년들이 직접 체험을 통해 진로를 탐색할 수 있도록 이번 프로그램을 마련했다”며 “앞으로도 첨단 기술을 활용한 다양한 교육 프로그램을 지속해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Wanju County is strengthening its position as a leading local government in the field of physical AI through an experiential program aimed at nurturing future technology talents.

On the 3rd, the county successfully held a "Physical AI Autonomous Driving Robot Tour" at the Wanju County Youth Training Center with the participation of over 100 family members.

The event was an educational program where teenagers directly experienced and learned about the core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, physical AI, and autonomous driving robots. Participants controlled robots using block coding, crayons, Scratch, etc., and performed real-life missions such as obstacle avoidance and parking.

It was evaluated as an educational opportunity to enhance creative problem-solving skills and logical thinking. Wanju County had previously garnered attention as a hub for related industries by hosting a physical AI-based mobility demonstration seminar in July.

Yoo Hee-tae, the Wanju County Mayor, stated, "In an era where AI and robot technologies are rapidly advancing, we organized this program to allow teenagers to explore career paths through direct experiences." He also expressed his commitment to continue providing various educational programs utilizing advanced technologies in the future.
