국립민속국악원(원장 김중현)은 5일 오후 4시 주중한국문화원 다목적홀에서 열린 국립국악원 주관 전시 〈종묘제례악, 조선을 노래하다〉 개막식에서 축하공연을 펼쳤다. 이번 공연은 전시 개막을 기념하고 한국 전통예술의 아름다움을 현지에 전하며, 나아가 한·중 문화예술 교류의 의미를 더했다.

공연은 ▲대금 독주 〈청성곡〉 ▲독무 <한영숙류 태평무> ▲민요 연곡 〈모리화·아리랑〉으로 꾸려졌으며, 약 200석 규모의 공연장은 현지 관객들로 가득 채워졌다. 특히 중국의 대표 민요 〈모리화〉와 한국의 〈아리랑〉을 함께 엮은 무대는 큰 호응을 얻으며 전통예술을 통한 문화적 공감의 장을 형성했다.

김중현 원장은 “이번 공연을 통해 한국 전통예술의 가치를 베이징 현지에 직접 전할 수 있어 뜻깊다”며, “앞으로도 해외 주요 문화기관과의 협력을 통해 한국문화를 널리 확산시키겠다”고 밝혔다.

국립민속국악원은 이번 공연을 계기로 베이징 내 문화예술 기관 및 단체와의 협력 기반을 확대하고, 한국 전통문화의 국제적 위상을 강화하기 위한 다양한 활동을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

On the 5th, at 4 p.m., the National Gugak Center (Director Kim Joong-hyun) held a congratulatory performance at the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Jongmyo Jeryeak, Singing the Joseon Dynasty" at the multipurpose hall of the Korean Cultural Center in Beijing. This performance, organized by the National Gugak Center, was held to commemorate the opening of the exhibition and to convey the beauty of Korean traditional arts locally, further enhancing the significance of cultural and artistic exchange between Korea and China.

The performance featured a solo gayageum performance of "Cheongseongok," a solo dance of "Hanyeongsukryu Taepyeongmu," and a folk song medley of "Mori Hwae-Arirang," filling the approximately 200-seat venue with local audiences. In particular, the stage that intertwined China's representative folk song "Mori Hwae" with Korea's "Arirang" received a great response, forming a platform for cultural empathy through traditional arts.

Director Kim Joong-hyun expressed, "It is meaningful to directly convey the value of Korean traditional arts to Beijing through this performance," and stated, "We will continue to widely promote Korean culture through cooperation with major cultural institutions overseas."

Taking this performance as an opportunity, the National Gugak Center plans to expand its cooperation with cultural and arts institutions and organizations in Beijing, and actively pursue various activities to enhance the international status of Korean traditional culture.
