전주시와 사단법인 마당은 오는 24일부터 26일까지 3일간 전주한옥마을 내 전주대사습청에서 전주시 소재 전북특별자치도 무형유산 예능보유자 공개행사를 개최한다.

전통 예술의 정신과 가치를 널리 알리고, 무형유산 보존과 계승을 넘어 현대적 활용 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련된 이번 행사에는 판소리와 기악, 춤 등 예능보유자 17명과 보유단체 3단체가 참여해 기량을 뽐낼 예정이다.

먼저 첫째 날에는 △전주기접놀이보존회의 신명 나는 국악소리와 기놀이 △성준숙(판소리 적벽가) △이길주(호남산조춤) △김소영(판소리 수궁가) △김무철(한량무) △송재영(판소리 심청가) △이상호(판소리장단) 등 무형유산 보유자의 기예를 직접 만나볼 수 있다.

이어 둘째 날에는 △대금과 피리, 해금, 장구, 북으로 편성된 ‘전라삼현육각보존회’의 공연 △김광숙(예기무) △가을밤 정취를 만끽할 수 있는 지성자(가야금산조)의 공연 △불교 범패(노래)와 작법(춤), 지화장엄까지 엿볼 수 있는 ‘영산작법보존회’의 공연이 예정돼 있다.

마지막 날에는 △문정근(전라삼현승무) 보유자 공연 △이선수(가곡) △김세미(판소리 수궁가) △모보경(판소리 춘향가) △장문희(판소리 심청가) △왕기석(판소리 수궁가) △조용안(판소리장단) △김영희(시조창) △박애숙(가야금병창) 보유자의 공연이 펼쳐진다.

특히 이번 공연은 무대 뒤 설치된 스크린을 통해 출연자의 프로필과 공연별 사진 등을 확인할 수 있으며, 모션그래픽도 사용된다. 또, 관객석 좌우로 공간의 특징을 살펴 소리의 흐름을 상징하는 배너가 설치되는 등 관람객들에게 다양한 시각적 효과도 선보일 예정이다.

노은영 전주시 문화체육관광국장은 “전통 예술을 사랑하는 시민과 관람객들에게 무형유산 예능의 진면목을 직접 경험할 수 있는 자리를 마련했다”면서 “혼신을 다해 우리의 전통과 가치를 지켜나가고 있는 무형유산 예능보유자들의 노력이 더욱 빛날 수 있도록 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.

On the 24th to the 26th of this month, the city of Jeonju and the foundation Ma-dang will be hosting a public event for the holders of intangible cultural heritage in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, at Jeonju Dasa-seupcheong in Jeonju Hanok Village for three days.

This event, organized to promote the spirit and value of traditional arts, go beyond the preservation and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage to explore modern utilization methods. Seventeen performers and three organizations of intangible cultural heritage, including pansori (traditional Korean narrative song), instrumental music, and dance performers, will showcase their skills.

On the first day, attendees can witness the talents of intangible cultural heritage holders such as Shin Myung, a member of the Jeonju Gijeopnori Preservation Society, who will perform traditional Korean music and dance, as well as performances by various other artists.

The second day will feature performances by the Jeolla Samhyun Yukgak Preservation Society, Kim Kwang-sook, and Jiseongja, allowing the audience to enjoy the atmosphere of autumn nights through various performances.

The final day will showcase performances by various intangible cultural heritage holders, including Moon Jeong-geun, Lee Sun-soo, Kim Se-mi, Mo Bo-kyung, Jang Moon-hee, Wang Ki-seok, Jo Yong-an, Kim Young-hee, and Park Ae-sook.

This performance will also feature screens backstage displaying performers' profiles and photos for each performance, as well as motion graphics. Banners symbolizing the flow of sound will be installed on both sides of the audience seats, providing various visual effects for the spectators.

Noh Eun-young, the director of the Jeonju City Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stated, "We have provided a space for citizens and spectators who love traditional arts to directly experience the essence of intangible cultural heritage performances." She added, "We ask for your interest and participation to further illuminate the efforts of intangible cultural heritage performers who are wholeheartedly preserving our traditions and values."
