The Department of Food and Nutrition at Jeonbuk University (led by Professor No Jeong-ok) announced on the 26th that they have been receiving a great response from students by hosting a series of career talk concerts inviting field experts to help students explore career paths and enhance their competitiveness.
Since last year, the department has been inviting experts from various fields such as food and nutrition-related research institutes, companies, and schools to support students in strengthening their job capabilities. Recently, they invited Park Gyeong-seon, a senior menu guidance director who has worked as a contracted food nutritionist and sports nutritionist at Hyundai Green Food, to give a special lecture.
During the lecture, Park shared his experience participating in managing the diet of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics national team, as well as his career expansion process encompassing contracted food services and sports nutrition, emphasizing that nutritionists can grow into professionals who create new value beyond just being simple diet managers.
Students who attended the lecture expressed positive reactions, stating that it provided an opportunity to broaden their understanding of industrial catering and sports nutrition. Professor No Jeong-ok, the head of the department, stated, "We will continue to strengthen education that connects academia and practical skills through inviting field experts in the future."
