전북특별자치도는 2일 전북테크노파크 대회의실에서 에너지대전환 시대에 대응한 정책 방향을 논의하기 위해 RE100 에너지솔루션 얼라이언스 ‘에너지정책분과 회의’를 개최했다.

이번 회의는 RE100 산업단지와 연계한 기업투자 촉진과 제도개선 방안을 모색하는 등 주요정책 현안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

정책분과 회의에서는 ▲재생에너지 지산지소 실현을 위한 제도개선 방안 논의 및 의견수렴 ▲새만금 RE100 산업단지 조성을 위한 기업투자 애로 및 건의사항 ▲RE100 에너지솔루션 얼라이언스 국제심포지엄 개최 계획을 집중 논의했다.

특히, 정부가국정운영 5개년 계획에 RE100산단 조성 계획을 발표하면서 새만금이 구체적으로 명시된 상황으로 RE100 산단 선도 모델로 지정 받기 위해 노력하고 있다.

RE100 산업단지가 실질적으로 구현되기 위해서 정책과 제도적 기반 마련이 필수인 만큼 기업들의 투자 애로사항의 해결방안을 모색하기 위해 발굴된 제도개선 사항들은 중앙부처와 지속적으로 건의해 나갈 계획이다.

또한, 11월에 개최될 ‘RE100 에너지솔루션 얼라이언스 국제심포지엄’은 글로벌 에너지전환 트렌드에 대응하기 위한 행사로 글로벌 전문가들이 참여해 RE100 이행 전략과 기술 동향을 논의하는 장으로 마련될 예정이다.

신원식 전북특별자치도 미래첨단산업국장은 “이번 회의는 재생에너지 활성화와 지속가능한 기업투자 환경 조성을 위한 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “전북도는 에너지 생태계 혁신과 RE100 산업단지 조성을 통해 대한민국 에너지 전환을 선도해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province held a meeting of the RE100 Energy Policy Subcommittee at the Jeonbuk Techno Park conference room on the 2nd to discuss policy directions in response to the era of energy transition.

The meeting was organized to discuss key policy issues such as promoting corporate investment linked to RE100 industrial complexes and seeking improvements in regulations.

During the policy subcommittee meeting, they focused on discussing ▲ measures to improve regulations for realizing renewable energy self-sufficiency ▲ challenges and suggestions for corporate investment in creating the new Saemangeum RE100 industrial complex ▲ and plans to host an international symposium by the RE100 Energy Solution Alliance.

In particular, efforts are being made to be designated as a leading model for the RE100 industrial complex as the Saemangeum area has been specifically mentioned with the announcement of the government's 5-year plan for establishing RE100 industrial complexes.

In order for the RE100 industrial complex to be effectively implemented, it is essential to establish a policy and regulatory framework. Therefore, plans are in place to continuously propose improvements to relevant authorities to address corporate investment challenges.

Furthermore, the upcoming 'RE100 Energy Solution Alliance International Symposium' scheduled for November will be an event to respond to global energy transition trends, where global experts will participate to discuss RE100 compliance strategies and technological trends.

Shin Won-sik, Director of Future Industries at Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, stated, "This meeting will be an important opportunity for activating renewable energy and creating a sustainable environment for corporate investment," adding, "Jeonbuk Province will lead the energy transition in South Korea through innovation in the energy ecosystem and the establishment of RE100 industrial complexes."
