전주의 대표적 예술축제가 풍성한 결실의 계절에 팔복동 일원에서 펼쳐진다.

(재)전주문화재단이 주관하는 ‘2025 전주예술난장’은 오는 17일부터 19일까지 3일간 ‘도시의 거리와 공간이 곧 무대가 된다’는 취지로 팔복예술공장 일대에서 열린다.

전주페스타 및 미래문화축제와 연계해 치러지는 이번 행사는 지난 2023년 첫선을 보인 이후 매년 국내외 예술가들이 참여해 다양한 공연과 프로젝트를 선보여왔다. 지난해에는 공식 공모에 170여 팀이 지원하는 등 전국적 관심을 끌었으며, 올해는 200여 팀 중 35개 팀이 최종 선발됐다.

17일 합동 개막식에서는 ‘뛰어! 전주, 울려! 난장’이라는 주제로 전통과 미래가 결합된 퍼포먼스가 펼쳐진다. 이어 18일과 19일 양일간 서커스, 마임, 마술, 음악, 전통연희, 춤, 극, 미디어아트, 공공미술 등 다양한 장르의 거리예술이 시민과 함께 어우러져 도시를 거대한 축제의 무대로 바꿀 예정이다.

제3회 전주예술난장은 예술인 기획단 ‘장단’과 전주문화재단이 함께 민·관 협력의 새로운 모델을 제시하고 있으며, 전국 예술인뿐 아니라 ESG 협의체, 주민 협의체, 팔복동 기업체가 참여해 ‘함께 만드는 진짜 지역 축제’를 지향한다.

하형래 예술인기획단 단장은 “모두가 만드는 축제를 통해, 모두가 모인 공공의 장에서 모두가 행복을 누릴 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

Jeonju's representative art festival unfolds in the season of abundant fruition in the area of Palbok-dong.

The "2025 Jeonju Arts Frenzy," organized by the Jeonju Cultural Foundation, will take place from the 17th to the 19th for three days with the theme "The city's streets and spaces become the stage" at the Palbok Art Factory.

This event, held in conjunction with the Jeonju Fiesta and the Future Culture Festival, has been showcasing various performances and projects by domestic and international artists every year since its debut in 2023. Last year, it attracted nationwide attention with over 170 teams applying through official submissions, and this year, 35 out of over 200 teams were selected.

The joint opening ceremony on the 17th under the theme "Leap! Jeonju, Resound! Frenzy" will feature a performance combining tradition and the future. Following this, on the 18th and 19th, various genres of street arts such as circus, mime, magic, music, traditional performances, dance, theater, media art, and public art will come together with citizens to transform the city into a giant festival stage.

The 3rd Jeonju Arts Frenzy is presenting a new model of civil-government cooperation with the art planning group "Jangdan" and the Jeonju Cultural Foundation, aiming for a "genuine local festival created together" with the participation of artists nationwide as well as ESG committees, resident committees, and Palbok-dong businesses.

Ha Hyeong-rae, head of the art planning group, said, "Through a festival created by everyone, we will ensure that everyone can enjoy happiness in the public space where everyone gathers."
