전주시는 오는 21일부터 26일까지 6일간 전라감영과 한국전통문화전당 등 전주 구도심 일원에서 ‘2025 한복문화주간’을 개최한다.

‘현대와 전통이 공존하는 한복문화’를 주제로 열리는 이번 행사는 전시·체험·공연·사회공헌 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 시민과 외국인이 함께 한복의 매력을 즐길 수 있도록 기획됐다.

올해 한복문화주간은 21일 오후 5시 전라감영에서 열리는 ‘한복의 날’ 기념행사 ‘비단夜(야)’로 포문을 연다.

이날 기념행사에서는 전주시민과 외국인이 함께 한복을 입고 전통놀이와 다양한 체험을 즐기며 축제 분위기를 나누게 된다.

이후 한복등(燈) 세리머니와 공연, 만찬이 이어져 전통과 현대가 어우러진 풍성한 밤이 펼쳐진다. 특히 행사 당일에는 선착순 200명 한정으로 무료로 한복을 빌려입을 수 있다.

또한 한국전통문화전당 야외마당과 전주 한복문화창작소 한복놀이터에서는 ‘전주 한복랩(LAB)’ 전시를 통해 전통 한복과 현대적 디자인이 결합된 실험적인 공간과 포토존을 선보인다.

이어 오는 22일과 23일에는 전통예절 교육과 한복 착용, 소품 만들기를 통해 전통문화를 체험하는 ‘한복물든 품격’ 프로그램이 진행돼 한복의 멋과 가치를 직접 느낄 수 있으며, 24일에는 전주시장애인가족지원센터 가족들이 무대에 올라 판소리를 선보이는 ‘한복물든 소리’ 공연이 이어져 전통과 예술이 어우러진 특별한 무대를 선사하게 된다.

특히 24일부터 26일까지는 ‘2026 전주페스타’ 및 한국공예디자인문화진흥원과 연계해 지역 한복문화 프로그램이 펼쳐진다. 이 프로그램을 통해 방문객들은 무료로 한복을 입어보고, 소품도 만들며 ‘한복, 다시입다’ 교환 장터에 참여해 친환경 패션 문화를 확산하는 캠페인에 참여할 수 있다. 올해는 세계인을 사로잡은 ‘케이팝 데몬헌터스’의 저승사자 콘셉트 복장으로 색다른 분위기를 더할 예정이다.

Jeonju City will host the '2025 Hanbok Culture Week' in the downtown area of Jeonju, including Jeolla Gamyoung and the Korean Traditional Culture Center, from the 21st to the 26th of this month for six days.

Under the theme of 'Hanbok Culture where modernity and tradition coexist,' this event is planned to allow citizens and foreigners to enjoy the charm of Hanbok through various programs such as exhibitions, experiences, performances, and social contributions.

This year's Hanbok Culture Week will kick off with the 'Silk Night' event on the 21st at 5 p.m. at Jeolla Gamyoung to commemorate 'Hanbok Day.' During this event, Jeonju citizens and foreigners will wear Hanbok together, enjoy traditional games and various experiences, and share the festive atmosphere.

Following the commemorative event, there will be a Hanbok lighting ceremony, performances, and a banquet, creating a rich night where tradition and modernity blend. Especially on the day of the event, the first 200 people in line can rent Hanbok for free.

Furthermore, at the outdoor courtyard of the Korean Traditional Culture Center and the Hanbok Playground of Jeonju Hanbok Culture Creation Center, an exhibition called 'Jeonju Hanbok Lab' will showcase an experimental space combining traditional Hanbok with modern design and a photo zone.

On the 22nd and 23rd, the 'Hanbok-Adorned Dignity' program will offer traditional etiquette education, Hanbok wearing, and accessory making experiences for participants to directly feel the elegance and value of Hanbok. On the 24th, the 'Hanbok-Adorned Sound' performance will feature families from the Jeonju Center for Disabled Family Support presenting Pansori on stage, offering a special stage where tradition and art converge.

From the 24th to the 26th, the '2026 Jeonju Fiesta' will unfold in collaboration with the Korea Craft & Design Foundation, featuring regional Hanbok culture programs. Through this program, visitors can try on Hanbok for free, make accessories, and participate in the 'Hanbok, Wear Again' exchange market to promote eco-friendly fashion culture. This year, a unique atmosphere will be added with the concept attire of the Grim Reaper from the 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' that captivated people worldwide.
