전북현대 U14 유스팀이 일본 나고야로 향한다.

전북현대 U14 팀이 일본 나고야 ‘미드랜드 챌린지(Midland Challenge) 2025’ 참가를 위해 30일 출국했다.

‘미드랜드 챌린지(Midland Challenge) 2025’는 지리적으로 일본 중심에 있는 나고야에서 유스 선수들이 경쟁한다는 의미로 ‘미드랜드(Midland)’ 명칭을 활용한 대회다.

일본 J리그 ‘나고야 그램퍼스’가 주최해 올해 15번째를 맞았으며 나고야 그램퍼스의 클럽하우스인 ‘도요타 스포츠센터’에서 열린다.

전북현대와 나고야 그램퍼스는 각 리그를 대표하는 프로 축구팀으로서 양 구단은 축구뿐만 아니라 마케팅 등 상호 협력을 도모하기 위한 파트너십을 추진하고 있다.

전북현대 유스팀 초청은 파트너십 추진 과정의 일환으로 이뤄졌으며 이번 대회 초청 및 참가로 상호 교류의 첫 물꼬를 트게 됐다.

이번 대회는 11월 1일부터 2일까지 이틀 동안 주최팀 나고야 그램퍼스를 비롯해 감바 오사카, 세레소 오사카, 시미즈 S펄스, 교토 상가 등 일본을 대표하는 프로 산하 유스팀이 참가해 서로의 실력을 겨룬다.

대회는 전,후반 25분씩 진행되며 전북현대 U14 팀은 1일 1라운드 교토 상가와의 맞대결을 시작으로 나고야 그램퍼스, 감바 오사카, 그램퍼스 미요시를 상대로 총 4경기를 치르게 된다.

전북현대 U14 팀은 지난 20일 중국 항저우 ‘첸차오 컵’에 이어 이번 ‘미드랜드 챌린지 2025’까지 폭넓은 국제 교류를 진행하고 있으며 앞으로도 국제 경험을 통한 성장을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

Jeonbuk Hyundai U14 Youth Team Heads to Nagoya, Japan

The Jeonbuk Hyundai U14 team departed on the 30th to participate in the 'Midland Challenge 2025' in Nagoya, Japan.

The 'Midland Challenge 2025' is a competition where youth players compete in Nagoya, located geographically in the center of Japan, utilizing the name 'Midland' to signify the event.

Hosted by the J-League's Nagoya Grampus, this year marks the 15th edition of the tournament, taking place at the club's clubhouse, the 'Toyota Sports Center' in Nagoya.

Jeonbuk Hyundai and Nagoya Grampus, as representative professional football teams in their respective leagues, are promoting a partnership aimed at cooperation not only in football but also in marketing and other areas.

The invitation extended to Jeonbuk Hyundai's youth team is part of the partnership promotion process, marking the first step in mutual exchange through this tournament participation.

The competition, scheduled for November 1st and 2nd, will see the host team Nagoya Grampus, along with Gamba Osaka, Cerezo Osaka, Shimizu S-Pulse, Kyoto Sanga, and other top Japanese pro youth teams, competing to showcase their skills.

The matches will consist of two halves of 25 minutes each, with Jeonbuk Hyundai U14 team starting with a match against Kyoto Sanga on the first day, followed by games against Nagoya Grampus, Gamba Osaka, and Grampus Miyoshi.

Having participated in the 'Chen Zhao Cup' in Hangzhou, China on the 20th, the Jeonbuk Hyundai U14 team is expanding its international exchanges by taking part in the 'Midland Challenge 2025', with plans to continue growing through international experiences in the future.
