<한지 인형극 ‘백개의 부채’>

전북특별자치도문화관광재단(대표이사 이경윤, 이하 재단)은 어린이의 문화 향유권 확대를 목표로 지난 9월부터 10월까지 전북예술회관에서 진행된 ‘2025 전북예술회관 어린이 상설공연’을 성황리에 마무리했다고 29일 밝혔다.

이번 상설공연은 어린이와 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 전용 공연콘텐츠로, 한지 인형극 ‘백개의 부채’, ESG 어린이 창극 ‘후크선장과 탐정 별주부’, 창작 뮤지컬 ‘비밥’등 세 작품을 선보이며 약 2개월간 총 18회의 무대를 이어갔다.

공동체와 환경오염 등 어린이 눈높이에 맞춘 주제를 담아 교육적 메시지를 자연스럽게 전하며 2,666명의 관람객이 전북예술회관을 찾았고, 도내외 유치원과 초·중·고교, 지역 아동센터 및 사회단체 등 다양한 기관에서 단체 관람이 이어져 높은 호응을 얻었다.

또한 공연과 함께 다양한 전시가 열리며 관람객들이 자연스럽게 전시로 발걸음을 옮겨 공연장 곳곳이 활기를 띠었다. 이를 통해 전북예술회관이 아동과 청소년의 문화 접근성을 높이는 동시에 세대가 함께 소통하는 문화공간으로 자리매김했다.

이경윤 대표이사는 “이번 공연을 통해 전북예술회관이 어린이 문화공간으로 도약하는 의미있는 첫걸음을 내딛었다.”라며, “앞으로도 수준 높은 공연 콘텐츠 발굴과 공간의 지속적인 개선을 통해 전북예술회관을 가족 문화 거점으로 발전시켜 나가겠다.”라고 밝혔다.

한편, 오는 1월에는 아이들의 눈높이에 맞춘 북유럽 일러스트레이션전 ‘숲길을 걸으며’가 열릴 예정이며, 전북예술회관은 ‘어린이 극장’으로 확대운영해 공연 기간과 횟수를 늘리고, 전시와 체험프로그램을 결합한 복합형 문화공간으로 발전시킬 계획이다.

The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Cultural Tourism Foundation (CEO Lee Kyung-yoon, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) announced on the 29th that they successfully concluded the '2025 Jeonbuk Arts Center Permanent Children's Performance' held at the Jeonbuk Arts Center from September to October with the goal of expanding children's cultural enjoyment rights.

This permanent performance featured exclusive performance content for children and families, showcasing three works including the Hanji puppet play 'One Hundred Fans,' the ESG children's improvisational play 'Captain Hook and Detective Star Priest,' and the original musical 'Bibap,' running a total of 18 shows over a period of about two months.

The performances incorporated educational messages naturally by addressing themes relevant to children such as community and environmental pollution. A total of 2,666 audience members visited the Jeonbuk Arts Center, with group visits from various institutions including kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, local children's centers, and social organizations, receiving a high response.

In addition to the performances, various exhibitions were held, leading visitors to naturally move towards the exhibitions, bringing vibrancy to the performance venue. Through this, the Jeonbuk Arts Center established itself as a cultural space where children and teenagers can access culture while promoting intergenerational communication.

CEO Lee Kyung-yoon stated, "Through this performance, the Jeonbuk Arts Center has taken a meaningful first step towards becoming a children's cultural space," adding, "We will continue to develop the Jeonbuk Arts Center into a family cultural hub by discovering high-quality performance content and continuously improving the space."

Furthermore, in January, a North European illustration exhibition tailored to children's perspectives titled 'Walking Through the Forest Path' is scheduled to open. The Jeonbuk Arts Center plans to expand its operation as a 'children's theater,' increasing the duration and frequency of performances, and evolving into a multifaceted cultural space by combining exhibitions and experiential programs.
