전북특별자치도는 11일 도청에서 전북도어린이집연합회 임원 및 시군지회장단과 보육정책 소통 간담회를 열고, 현장의 의견을 청취하며 지역 맞춤형 보육지원 방향을 논의했다.

이날 간담회에는 김관영 도지사, 신은옥 전북도어린이집연합회장을 비롯한 연합회 임원 및 시군 지회장들이 참석해, 저출생과 재정 부담 등 어린이집 운영의 현실적인 어려움을 공유하고 개선책을 모색했다.

전북도는 내년부터 ▲필요경비 지원 확대 ▲영유아 급·간식비 인상 ▲외국인 자녀 보육료 신규 지원 ▲0세반 교사 대 아동 비율 개선(1:3→1:2) 등 다양한 보육환경 개선 정책을 추진할 계획이다.

김관영 지사는 “보육은 미래세대를 키우는 핵심 공공서비스”라며 “현장의 목소리를 바탕으로 아이 키우기 좋은 전북을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 전북도는 지난해부터 필요경비·차액보육료 전액 지원을 통해 전국 최초 완전 무상보육을 실현하는 등 선도적인 보육정책을 펼치고 있다.

On the 11th, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province held a meeting at the provincial office with executives of the Jeonbuk Province Kindergarten Association and city and county branch leaders to discuss childcare policies and gather opinions from the field to discuss directions for tailored childcare support in the region.

At the meeting, Governor Kim Kwan-young, Shin Eun-ok, the chairperson of the Jeonbuk Province Kindergarten Association, and other executives and city and county branch leaders shared practical difficulties in operating kindergartens such as low birth rates and financial burdens, and sought solutions.

Starting next year, Jeonbuk Province plans to implement various childcare environment improvement policies such as expanding necessary expense support, increasing infant and toddler meal expenses, providing new support for childcare fees for foreign children, and improving the ratio of teachers to children in the 0-year-old class from 1:3 to 1:2.

Governor Kim Kwan-young stated, "Childcare is a core public service for raising the future generation," and expressed, "Based on the voices from the field, I will do my best to create a better Jeonbuk for raising children."

Meanwhile, Jeonbuk Province has been leading progressive childcare policies, including achieving the country's first completely free childcare through full support for necessary expenses and additional childcare fees since last year.
