전민주 작가 개인전 ‘풍경’이 4일부터 10일까지 우진문화공간 전시실에서 열린다.

이번 전시에는 평범한 사람들이 살아가는 공간과 꽃을 주제로 한 회화 작품 50여 점이 소개되며, 작가가 일상 속에서 포착한 장면들이 다양한 질감과 색채로 풀어내진다. 전시는 화요일부터 일요일까지 오전 10시부터 오후 8시까지 진행된다.

전 작가는 젯소와 아크릴을 반복해 쌓아 올리는 방식으로 감정과 시간을 화면에 입체적으로 남기며, 이러한 마티에르는 삶의 불확실성과 의외성을 상징한다. 어반스케쳐스 전주 활동을 바탕으로 지역 사진을 보고 그린 작품들도 다수 포함돼 있으며, 덕진공원 뒷길, 꽃심도서관 화단, 주말의 식당 풍경 등 소소한 일상이 따뜻하게 담겼다.

꽃을 주제로 한 연작은 직장 인근에서 본 작은 꽃에서 출발해 민화풍 표현까지 확장됐으며, 전통적 평면성과 현대적 질감을 결합한 색감 실험이 돋보인다. 투박하지만 담백한 붓질로 평온한 일상을 그려온 전 작가는 밝고 선명한 색채로 삶의 감정을 전한다.

도담 이정희 선생에게 사사한 전민주 작가는 골목 그림 프로젝트, 동인전, 개인전 등 활발한 활동을 이어왔으며, 이번 전시는 그가 쌓아온 일상의 풍경과 감성을 한자리에서 만날 수 있는 자리로 기대된다.

The solo exhibition 'Scenery' by artist Jeon Min-ju will be held at the Ujin Cultural Space exhibition hall from the 4th to the 10th.

This exhibition will introduce around 50 painting works focusing on ordinary people's living spaces and flowers as the main themes, with scenes captured by the artist in daily life expressed in various textures and colors. The exhibition will run from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The artist builds emotions and time on the canvas by layering jetso and acrylic repeatedly, symbolizing the uncertainty and unexpectedness of life. The artworks also include pieces inspired by local photos seen through activities with Urban Sketchers Jeonju, depicting small everyday scenes like the alley behind Deokjin Park, the flower bed at the Flower Heart Library, and the weekend restaurant scenery in a warm manner.

The series focusing on flowers expanded from small flowers seen near the artist's workplace to a folk painting style expression, showcasing color experiments that combine traditional flatness with modern textures. With rough yet simple brush strokes, Jeon portrays peaceful daily life with bright and vivid colors, conveying emotions of life.

Having learned from the master Dodam Lee Jung-hee, artist Jeon Min-ju has been actively engaged in alley painting projects, group exhibitions, and solo exhibitions. This exhibition is anticipated as a place where one can encounter the landscapes and emotions of daily life that the artist has accumulated over time.
