전북특별자치도는 24일 전북청소년상담복지센터에서 고향사랑 일반기부금(6,000만원 상당)으로 마련한 현장지원 차량을 전북특별자치도청소년상담복지센터에 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 차량 지원은 고향사랑기부제로 조성된 일반기부금을 활용한 도 차원의 첫 사업으로, 위기청소년을 신속하게 발굴하고 상담·보호하기 위한 현장 인프라 확충 차원에서 추진됐다.

청소년상담복지센터는 위기청소년 현장 상담과 긴급 개입 수요가 늘었지만 전용 차량 노후화로 야간·긴급 상황 시 즉각 출동에 한계가 있었고, 도내 14개 시·군 전역에서 찾아가는 상담·보호 서비스 확대에도 제약이 있었다. 새로 배치된 차량은 현장 상담과 긴급 위기개입, 학교·지역 유관기관 연계 사업 등 찾아가는 상담복지 서비스 전반에 투입될 예정이다.

이상염 센터장은 “위기청소년을 직접 찾아가 상담·보호할 수 있는 기반이 강화됐다”며 “현장 중심 지원을 더욱 내실 있게 추진하겠다”고 말했다. 김호식 도 교육협력과장은 “기부금이 청소년 복지 현장에 실질적으로 활용된 의미 있는 성과”라며 “조기 발굴과 선제 지원을 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다. 이지형 도 대외협력과장은 “고향사랑기금이 청소년 복지 현장에 직접 쓰인 첫 사례”라며 “도민 삶의 질 향상 사업을 지속 발굴하겠다”고 전했다.

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 24th that they have delivered a field support vehicle, funded by the General Donation Fund for Hometown Love (equivalent to 60 million won), to the Jeonbuk Youth Counseling and Welfare Center.

This vehicle support, the first project at the provincial level utilizing the General Donation Fund established under the Hometown Love Donation System, was carried out to promptly identify and provide counseling and protection for at-risk youth by enhancing on-site infrastructure.

The Youth Counseling and Welfare Center has seen an increase in demand for on-site counseling and emergency interventions for at-risk youth. However, due to the aging of their dedicated vehicles, there were limitations in immediate response during nighttime or emergency situations. Additionally, there were constraints on expanding counseling and protection services reaching all 14 cities and counties in the province. The newly allocated vehicle is expected to be utilized for on-site counseling, emergency crisis intervention, and outreach services such as connecting with schools and relevant local organizations.

Director Lee Sang-yeom stated, "The foundation for directly reaching and providing counseling and protection for at-risk youth has been strengthened," adding, "We will further promote substantive on-site support." Kim Ho-sik, the provincial head of education cooperation, emphasized the meaningful outcome of the donation funds being practically utilized in youth welfare services, stating, "We will strengthen early identification and proactive support." Lee Ji-hyeong, the provincial head of external cooperation, highlighted that this is the first case of the Hometown Love Fund being directly used in youth welfare services, and expressed the province's commitment to continuously discovering projects to enhance the quality of life for residents.
