군산시 월명동 월명어린이집이 23일 원아와 교사들이 모은 이웃돕기 성금 45만220원을 월명동 행정복지센터에 전달했다.

이번 성금은 사랑의열매 저금통을 활용해 원아 40명과 교사들이 1년 동안 꾸준히 모금한 금액으로, 어린이들이 스스로 참여해 마련했다는 점에서 의미를 더했다.

월명어린이집은 10년 넘게 지역 내 소외된 이웃을 위한 기부 활동을 이어오고 있으며, 매년 다양한 나눔 활동으로 지역사회 연대를 강화해 왔다.

박은주 원장은 “원아들과 함께 나눔의 가치를 배우고 실천하는 과정이 뜻깊었다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회에 도움이 되는 활동을 지속하겠다”고 말했다. 김영효 월명동장은 “아이들과 교사들에게 감사드린다”며 “성금은 어려운 이웃을 위한 복지사업에 소중히 사용하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Wolmyeong Kindergarten in Wolmyeong-dong, Gunsan City, donated a total of 452,200 won in neighborly aid funds collected by the students and teachers on the 23rd to the Wolmyeong-dong Community Welfare Center.

This donation was collected steadily over a year by 40 students and teachers using a charity piggy bank, adding significance as it was raised with the children's active participation.

The Wolmyeong Kindergarten has been carrying out donation activities for marginalized neighbors in the community for over 10 years, strengthening community solidarity through various sharing activities every year.

Director Park Eun-ju said, "It was meaningful to learn and practice the value of sharing with the students," and added, "We will continue to engage in activities that help the local community in the future." Kim Young-hyo, the head of Wolmyeong-dong, expressed gratitude to the children and teachers, stating, "The funds will be used carefully for welfare projects for those in need in the community."
