국립군산대학교는 지난 20일부터 22일까지 열린 ‘2026년 전국 대학 RISE사업단 동계 성과포럼’에서 전영준 기업지원팀장이 ‘2025년 대학혁신 및 지역발전 지원’ 유공자로 교육부장관 표창을 수상했다고 23일 밝혔다.

이번 표창은 전북특별자치도 내 대학 중 유일한 사례로, 군산대는 RIS 에너지신산업 및 RISE사업을 통해 ▲지·산·학·연 협력체계 운영 ▲청년·기업 수요 기반 인재 양성 ▲국제 이차전지 컨퍼런스 공동 기획 등 지역산업 생태계 조성에 기여한 공로를 인정받았다.

포럼 둘째 날에는 유현희 교수가 ‘지역 현안 해결’ 분야 우수사례 발표자로 선정돼, ‘군산형 수산 식품&대두 부산물 리빙랩’ 사례를 공유했다. 해당 사업은 수산식품 종합단지 기업 정착 지원, 대두 부산물의 고부가가치화 등을 통해 지·산·학·연 협업 모델을 제시했다.

장민석 RISE사업단장은 “전북 전략산업과 연계한 현장 중심 연구과제를 추진해, 지역에 정주하는 인재를 양성하는 데 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

National Gunsan University announced on the 23rd that Jeon Yeong-jun, the head of the business support team, was awarded a commendation from the Minister of Education for his contributions to "Supporting University Innovation and Regional Development in 2025" at the '2026 National University RISE Project Winter Achievement Forum' held from the 20th to the 22nd.

This commendation, the only one among universities in North Jeolla Province, was awarded to Gunsan University for its contributions to creating a regional industrial ecosystem through RIS Energy New Industry and RISE projects, including operating a collaboration system among industry, academia, research, and government, nurturing talent based on the demands of youth and companies, and jointly planning an international secondary battery conference.

On the second day of the forum, Professor Yoo Hyun-hee was selected as an outstanding presenter in the field of 'Solving Regional Issues' and shared the case of 'Gunsan-style Aquatic Food & Soybean By-product Living Lab.' This project presented a collaboration model among industry, academia, research, and government through supporting the settlement of companies in the aquatic food comprehensive complex and value-added transformation of soybean by-products.

Jang Min-seok, the head of the RISE project team, stated, "We will strive to nurture talents who settle in the region by pursuing research projects centered on fieldwork related to strategic industries in North Jeolla Province."
