국립민속국악원(원장 김중현)은 오는 17일 오후 3시, 국립민속국악원 예원당에서 새해 설 기획공연 ‘설馬마설馬마’를 개최한다.

‘설馬설馬’는 설날(구정)의 정취와 새해의 다짐을 전통예술 무대로 풀어낸 설맞이 가족 국악 한마당이다. 무용·민요·기악·연희를 한데 엮고, 틴틴창극교실 수료 학생들이 참여하는 어린이 무대를 더해 세대가 함께 즐기며 명절 인사를 나눌 수 있도록 구성했다.

1부는 ‘춤과 노래로 땅을 깨우다’를 주제로 〈연고무〉와 민요 〈동백타령〉으로 문을 열고, 2부 ‘우리의 미래를 밝히다’에서는 틴틴창극교실 수료생들이 부르는 민요 〈널뛰기〉와 국악동요 〈십이지 동물과 얼쑤〉, 동요〈떡국송>에 이어, 기악 3중주 〈일청〉으로 공연이 분위기를 돋운다.

3부 ‘하늘의 기운을 받다’에서는 〈호남검무〉와 〈판굿〉으로 한해 소망하는 모든 것이 이루어지길 기원하는 무대로 마무리된다. 공연은 국립민속국악원 국악연주단원과 객원, 틴틴창극교실 수료 학생들이 출연하며 공연 시간은 약 80분이다.

공연 당일에는 설을 맞아 오후 2시부터 50분간 예원당 로비에서 ‘새해 다짐 캘리그라피로 나만의 팸플릿 만들기’를 진행하며, ‘새해 운세 뽑기’가 공연 종료 후 이어질 예정이다.

The National Gugak Center (Director Kim Joong-hyun) will hold a New Year's Seol (Lunar New Year) special performance titled 'Seolmamaseolmama' at the National Gugak Center Yeowondang on the 17th at 3 p.m.

'Seolmamaseolmama' is a traditional arts performance welcoming the Lunar New Year and expressing New Year's resolutions through a family gugak (traditional Korean music) event. It combines dance, folk songs, instrumental music, and performances, including a children's stage with participants from the Teenteen Changgeuk (traditional Korean opera) class, allowing different generations to enjoy and exchange holiday greetings.

The first part, themed 'Awakening the Earth with Dance and Song,' will open with the instrumental piece 'Yeon Go Mu' and the folk song 'Dongbaek Taryeong.' The second part, 'Illuminating Our Future,' will feature the folk song 'Neoldduigi' sung by Teenteen Changgeuk class graduates, followed by the gugak song 'Sipiji Dongmulgwa Eolssu,' the children's song 'Tteokguk Song,' and the instrumental trio 'Ilcheong' to enhance the performance atmosphere.

The third part, 'Receiving the Energy of the Sky,' will conclude with a stage that wishes for the fulfillment of all hopes for the new year through the sword dance 'Honam Geommoo' and the shaman ritual 'Pangut.' The performance will last approximately 80 minutes and will feature members of the National Gugak Center's gugak ensemble, guest performers, and Teenteen Changgeuk class graduates.

On the day of the performance, starting at 2 p.m., there will be a 50-minute session in the Yeowondang lobby where attendees can create their own pamphlets with New Year's resolutions calligraphy, followed by a 'New Year's fortune drawing' after the performance.
