【전북장애인뉴스】한국장애인개발원 전북특별자치도장애아동·발달장애인지원센터(센터장 백재경, 이하 전북센터)와 전북가정위탁지원센터(관장 정필현)는 22일 장애아동과 발달지연·장애위험 영유아 지원을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
전북가정위탁지원센터에서 열린 이번 협약은 전북특별자치도 내 위탁가정에서 보호·양육 중인 장애아동과 발달지연·장애위험 영유아를 조기에 발견하고, 아동과 가족의 특성과 욕구에 맞는 지원을 적기에 연계하기 위한 지역사회 협력체계를 구축하고자 마련됐다.
양 기관은 협약에 따라 ▲발달지연·장애위험 영유아의 조기발견과 조기개입을 위한 대상자 발굴·의뢰 및 서비스 연계 ▲장애아동의 욕구와 가정환경을 고려한 개인별지원계획 수립 및 복지 서비스·지역사회 자원 연계 ▲영유아의 발달 촉진과 위탁부모의 양육 역량 강화를 위한 가족 중심 양육코칭 지원 ▲위탁부모와 관련 종사자를 대상으로 한 교육 및 정보 제공 등에 협력하기로 했다.
전북가정위탁지원센터 정필현 관장은 “이번 협약을 통해 위탁부모의 장애아동과 영유아 발달에 대한 이해를 높이고, 양육 역량을 강화할 수 있는 기반이 마련됐다”며 “앞으로도 전북센터와 긴밀히 협력해 위탁가정이 필요한 복지 서비스를 적기에 지원받고, 아동이 안정적으로 성장할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
전북센터 백재경 센터장은 “이번 협약은 위탁가정에서 보호받고 있는 장애아동과 발달지연·장애위험 영유아를 조기에 발견하고, 아동과 가족에게 필요한 지원을 연계할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다는 점에서 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회 관련 기관과의 협력을 확대해 장애아동과 가족이 필요한 서비스를 지속해서 지원받을 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Director Baek Jae-kyung of the Jeonbuk Center emphasized the significance of the agreement in early detection of disabled children and infants at risk of developmental delays and disabilities in foster homes and in establishing a foundation for linking necessary support to children and families, stating, "We will continue to expand cooperation with local community-related institutions to ensure that disabled children and families receive the services they need consistently."
