【전북장애인뉴스】전북특별자치도는 학대와 인권침해 피해를 입은 장애인의 안전한 보호와 회복·자립을 지원하기 위해 ‘전북특별자치도 피해장애인쉼터’ 운영 수탁기관을 공개 모집한다고 14일 밝혔다.
이번 공모는 기존 위탁기간이 올해 말 종료됨에 따라 쉼터를 안정적으로 운영하고, 피해장애인의 특성을 고려한 전문적인 보호와 사회복귀 지원 서비스를 제공할 기관을 선정하기 위해 추진된다.
전북특별자치도는 현재 전주시에 남성·여성 피해장애인쉼터 각 1개소씩 총 2개소를 운영하고 있다. 쉼터는 학대 피해장애인을 가해 환경으로부터 긴급 분리해 임시 보호하는 시설로, 숙식 제공과 심리상담, 의료지원, 여가·사회참여 활동, 직업재활 훈련 등 일상 회복과 자립을 위한 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
