국립민속국악원(원장 김중현)은 5월 18일(월) 중국 남경전매대학교(南京传媒学院, 중국 난징 소재 미디어·예술계 대학)를 방문해 학교 관계자들과 좌담회를 갖고, 한·중 전통문화 교류와 문화예술 교육 협력 방향에 대해 의견을 나눴다.

이번 방문은 국립민속국악원이 그간 이어온 한·중 문화교류의 연장선에서 추진됐다. 지난해 8월 남경전매대학교 방문단이 국립민속국악원을 찾은 것을 계기로 양 기관 간 문화예술 교류의 기반을 확인한 바 있으며, 이번 만남에서는 전통예술 분야 교류와 미래세대 대상 문화예술 교육 협력 가능성을 논의하며 상호 이해를 넓혔다.

이날 국립민속국악원 방문단은 남경전매대학교의 주요 교육·문화시설을 둘러보고, 학교 관계자들과 전통문화 기반 예술교육, 디지털 콘텐츠 활용 사례, 문화예술 분야 교류 확대 방안 등에 대해 의견을 교환했다.

특히 좌담회에서는 한·중 문화예술 교류와 예술 분야 협력, 미래세대 대상 교육 교류, 무형문화유산 전승과 전통예술의 현대적 활용 방향 등에 대한 논의가 이뤄졌다. 또한 전통문화 기반 디지털 콘텐츠 활용 사례와 문화예술 교육 콘텐츠 발전 방향 등에 대해서도 의견을 나누며 향후 교류 가능성을 공유했다.

남경전매대학교는 문화예술·미디어 분야 특성화 대학으로, 공연·영상·디지털 콘텐츠 분야 교육과 교류를 추진하고 있다. 이번 방문은 전통예술과 문화콘텐츠 분야에서 양 기관 간 상호 이해를 넓히고 지속가능한 교류 기반을 모색하는 계기가 됐다.

김중현 원장은 “전통예술은 언어와 문화를 넘어 사람과 사람을 연결하는 중요한 문화 자산”이라며 “이번 교류가 한·중 양국 미래세대 간 문화적 공감과 정서적 유대를 넓히고, 지역사회와 함께 상호 우호 발전을 이어가는 문화교류 모델로 발전해 나가기를 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.

On May 18th, the National Gugak Center (Director Kim Jung-hyun) visited the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Media Arts (Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, a university in Nanjing, China specializing in media and arts) in China to hold a meeting with school officials to discuss the direction of cultural exchange and cooperation in cultural arts education between South Korea and China.

This visit was a continuation of the cultural exchange efforts between South Korea and China that the National Gugak Center has been pursuing. Following a visit by a delegation from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Media Arts to the National Gugak Center in August last year, the foundation for cultural and artistic exchange between the two institutions was established. During this meeting, discussions were held on cultural exchange in the field of traditional arts and the potential for cooperation in cultural arts education targeting future generations, broadening mutual understanding.

During the visit, the delegation from the National Gugak Center toured the main educational and cultural facilities of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Media Arts and exchanged views with school officials on traditional arts-based arts education, examples of digital content utilization, and ways to expand cultural arts exchange.

In particular, discussions were held during the meeting on cultural and artistic exchange between South Korea and China, cooperation in the field of arts, educational exchange targeting future generations, the transmission of intangible cultural heritage, and the modern utilization of traditional arts. Opinions were also exchanged on examples of utilizing digital content based on traditional cultural foundations and the direction of development of cultural arts education content, sharing possibilities for future exchanges.

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Media Arts is a specialized university in the field of cultural arts and media, promoting education and exchange in the fields of performance, video, and digital content. This visit served as an opportunity to broaden mutual understanding in the fields of traditional arts and cultural content and to explore a sustainable foundation for exchange between the two institutions.

Director Kim Jung-hyun stated, "Traditional arts are an important cultural asset that connects people beyond language and culture," adding, "I hope that this exchange will develop into a model of cultural exchange that broadens the cultural empathy and emotional bonds between the future generations of South Korea and China and continues to promote mutual development with local communities."
