보리누름에 산들바람이라 즐겨 말하던 정양 시인의 1주기 추모 시회(詩會)가 개최된다.

전북작가회의 정동철 회장은 전북문인협회와 공동 주관으로 오는 5월 30일 오전 10시 30분, 시인의 고향마을인 김제시 공덕면 마현리 은행나무 아래에서 정양 시인을 기억하는 시회 ‘보리누름에 산들바람’을 연다.

이번 시회는 2025년 5월 31일 우리 곁을 떠난 시인을 기리는 자리다. 살아생전 시인은 다정하고 유쾌했기에 그 곁은 늘 북적였고, 그 온기는 오랫동안 많은 이들의 기억에 남아 있다. 유족과 신흥고 제자들, 우석대 제자들, 그리고 고인을 기억하는 전북 문단의 문인들이 함께 모여 시인과의 추억담을 나누고, <내일을 여는 작가> 2025년 여름호에 실린 유고시 ‘진달래만 없다’, ‘바람이 나려거든’, ‘옹달샘’, ‘분리수거’, ‘매화 물약’, ‘한치 앞에’를 낭송하며, 시인과 함께했던 시간을 되새길 예정이다.

행사는 도혜숙 시분과장의 사회로 시작된다. 정동철 전북작가회의 회장이 인사를 건네고, 시인과 각별한 인연을 지닌 이병천 소설가와 전북문인협회 소재호 시인이 회고의 시간을 이어간다. 이후 시인의 제자인 정동철, 장현우, 이은홍, 박태건 시인 등이 헌시와 유고시를 낭송하고, 문단 동료와 후배들은 ‘내가 기억하는 정양’을 통해 시인과의의 소중한 순간을 나눈다. 시회는 유족대표 정범 씨의 인사와 이병초 시인의 재회 인사를 끝으로 마무리된다.

주최 측은 “정양 시인은 시로 삶을 건네고, 삶으로 시를 남긴 분이었다”며 “그가 사랑하던 말처럼, 보리누름의 산들바람 속에서 다시 시인을 만나는 시간이 되길 바란다”고 전했다. 전북작가회의는 시인의 추모 1주기를 맞아 유고시 6편을 전북작가회의 페이스북에 5월 26일부터 31일까지 하루에 한 편씩 공개 예정이다.

A memorial poetry gathering for the poet Jung Yang, who used to fondly say, "In the barley fields, there is a mountain breeze," will be held to commemorate the first anniversary of his passing.

Jeonbuk Writers' Association Chairman Jung Dong-cheol, in collaboration with Jeonbuk Literary Association, will host the poetry gathering titled "In the Barley Fields, There is a Mountain Breeze" under the eunhaengnamu tree in Mahyeon-ri, Gongdeok-myeon, Gimje-si, the poet's hometown, on May 30th at 10:30 am.

This poetry gathering is a place to honor the poet who passed away on May 31, 2025. The poet, who was affectionate and cheerful during his lifetime, always had a bustling presence around him, and his warmth has long remained in the memories of many. Family members, students from Shinheung High School, students from Wooseok University, and literary figures from Jeonbuk who remember the deceased will gather to share memories with the poet, recite the elegiac poems "There are no azaleas," "When the wind blows," "Ongdalsaem," "Separate collection," "Plum blossom potion," and "Just a step ahead" published in the summer issue of in 2025, and reminisce about the time spent with the poet.

The event will begin with a social hour led by Do Hye-sook, the head of the poetry division. Jeonbuk Writers' Association Chairman Jung Dong-cheol will give a speech, followed by novelist Lee Byung-cheon and poet Jeon Jae-ho from Jeonbuk Literary Association, who will continue with a time of reminiscence. Subsequently, the poet's students Jung Dong-cheol, Jang Hyeon-woo, Lee Eun-hong, and Park Tae-geon will recite tribute and elegiac poems, while colleagues and juniors in the literary world will share precious moments with the poet through "My Memories of Jung Yang." The gathering will conclude with a greeting from the family representative, Mr. Jung Beom, and a reunion greeting from poet Lee Byung-cho.

The organizers stated, "Poet Jung Yang dedicated his life to poetry and left poetry through his life," and expressed their hope that the event will be a time to meet the poet again in the mountain breeze of the barley fields that he loved. In commemoration of the poet's first anniversary, Jeonbuk Writers' Association will release six elegiac poems on their Facebook page from May 26 to 31, one each day.
