한국노총 전북지역본부 제28대 의장에 권기봉 현 의장이 당선됐다. 이로써 제26·27대 의장을 지낸 권기봉 당선인은 3선 연임에 성공하며 제28대 전북노총을 다시 한번 이끌게 됐다.

한국노총 전북지역본부 선거관리위원회는 5월 20일(수) 제28대 의장 선출을 위한 모바일 투표를 실시한 결과, 총 157명의 대의원 중 151명(96.18%)의 찬성으로 권기봉(현 의장)-이인구(현 사무처장) 후보조가 당선됐다고 밝혔다.

권기봉 당선인은 “지난 임기 동안 동지 여러분과 함께 전북노총의 신뢰를 회복하고, 조직의 민주성과 투명성을 강화하기 위해 쉴 틈 없이 달려왔다”며 “검증된 리더십과 풍부한 경험을 바탕으로 그간 추진해온 역점 사업들을 확실히 완수하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다. 이어 “전북 지역의 노동 현안 해결과 노동자의 권익 보호를 위해 필승의 각오로 끝까지 뛰겠다”고 강조했다.
권 의장은 재임 기간 동안 ▲의장단 및 운영회의 활성화, 의사결정 구조 민주화 ▲불합리한 선거관리 규칙 개정 ▲산별·지역지부 현장 소통 강화 ▲노총 건물환경 개선 ▲공익재단 ‘참 좋은 전북’ 설립 ▲조합원 자녀 장학사업 확대 ▲무료 법률상담소 운영 등 굵직한 조직 혁신과 조합원 복지 확대를 이끌어왔다.

이번 선거에서 권 의장은 ‘중단 없는 전진, 확실한 완성’을 기치로 ▲정년 65세 법제화 및 주4.5일제 달성 ▲공무원 교사 정치기본권 확보 ▲타임오프 전면 개편 ▲공무직 차별해소 ▲노총 부채 청산, 미래기금 조성 ▲조합원 복지 제도 강화 등을 핵심 공약으로 제시했다.

Kwon Ki-bong, the current chairman, was elected as the 28th chairman of the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU). With this, the elected candidate, who served as the 26th and 27th chairman, succeeded in his third consecutive term and will once again lead the 28th Jeonbuk KCTU.

The Election Management Committee of the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of the KCTU announced that in the mobile voting held on May 20th, a total of 151 out of 157 delegates (96.18%) supported the candidacy of Kwon Ki-bong (current chairman) and Lee In-gu (current secretary-general), making them the elected pair.

The elected chairman Kwon stated, "During the previous term, I have tirelessly worked with comrades to restore trust in the Jeonbuk KCTU and enhance the organization's democracy and transparency," and expressed his determination by saying, "Based on proven leadership and rich experience, I will definitively complete the priority projects we have been pursuing." He further emphasized, "I will run until the end with a determination to resolve labor issues in the Jeonbuk region and protect the rights of workers."

During his tenure, Chairman Kwon led significant organizational innovations and expansion of union member welfare, including the activation of the executive committee and operational meetings, democratization of decision-making structures, revision of unreasonable election management rules, strengthening communication with branches and regional units, improving the KCTU building environment, establishing the public interest foundation 'Good Jeonbuk,' expanding scholarships for union members' children, and operating a free legal counseling center.

In this election, Chairman Kwon presented key pledges under the slogan 'Continuous Progress without Interruption, Definite Completion,' including the legalization of retirement at 65 and achieving a 4.5-day workweek, securing political basic rights for public officials and teachers, comprehensive revision of time-off policies, resolving discrimination against public officials, clearing the KCTU's debts and establishing a future fund, and strengthening union member welfare systems.
