전북특별자치도 내 학교 밖 청소년 343명이 2026년 제2회 검정고시에 합격하며 학업을 이어가기 위한 새로운 발판을 마련했다.

전북특별자치도는 지난 8월 실시된 2026년 제2회 초·중·고등학교 졸업학력 검정고시에 도내 학교밖청소년지원센터 이용 청소년 401명이 응시해 343명이 완전합격했다고 11일 밝혔다. 합격률은 85.5%로 올해 제1회 84.5%보다 1.0%p 상승했다.

일부 과목에 합격한 부분합격자 49명까지 포함하면 전체 응시자의 97.8%인 392명이 완전 또는 부분합격했다. 부분합격자는 합격한 과목을 인정받아 향후 검정고시에 다시 도전할 수 있다.

도와 도내 학교밖청소년지원센터는 청소년들의 검정고시 준비를 돕기 위해 학습 수준과 생활여건을 고려한 맞춤형 지원을 이어왔다.

주요 지원은 ▲대학생 멘토와 연계한 1:1 학습 멘토링 ▲EBS·에듀윌 등 검정고시 교재 지원 ▲EBS 모의고사를 활용한 모의평가 ▲강남구청 인터넷수능방송 연계 ▲학원 연계 수업 등이다. 검정고시 원서 접수부터 고사장 동행, 응시물품 지원까지 시험 준비 과정도 함께 지원했다.

도는 심리·정서적 어려움이나 근로활동 병행 등으로 충분한 학습시간을 확보하기 어려운 청소년을 위해 개인별 상황을 고려한 지원도 강화할 계획이다. 응시 전 준비사항 안내와 학습·심리상태, 생활여건을 고려한 맞춤형 지원을 통해 지속적인 학업 도전을 뒷받침한다.

343 out-of-school youths in Jeollabuk Special Self-Governing Province passed the 2nd General Equivalency Diploma (GED) exam in 2026, paving the way for them to continue their education.

Jeollabuk Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 11th that out of 401 youths who utilized the out-of-school youth support center in the province and took the 2nd GED exam for elementary, middle, and high school graduates held in August 2026, 343 successfully passed. The pass rate was 85.5%, which was a 1.0% increase from the 84.5% pass rate in the 1st exam this year.

Including the 49 partial passers in some subjects, a total of 392 out of 401 examinees, which is 97.8% of all candidates, passed either fully or partially. Partial passers can be recognized for the subjects they passed and can challenge the GED exam again in the future.

The province and the out-of-school youth support center have been providing tailored support considering the academic level and living conditions to help youths prepare for the GED exam.

Key support measures include 1:1 learning mentoring linked with college student mentors, providing GED study materials from EBS and Eduwill, mock evaluations using EBS mock exams, linking with Gangnam District Office's internet college entrance exam broadcasts, and connecting with private academies for classes. They also supported the exam preparation process from GED application to accompanying candidates to the test venue and providing exam supplies.

The province plans to strengthen personalized support considering individual circumstances for youths who find it difficult to secure enough study time due to psychological or emotional difficulties, or concurrent work activities. By providing guidance on pre-exam preparations and tailored support considering learning, psychological status, and living conditions, they aim to support continuous educational challenges.
