제9회 전주국제단편영화제가 오는 17일부터 21일까지 5일간 전주 CGV 고사점에서 개최된다. 올해 슬로건은 ‘ㅅ+로운 프레임, 또다른 롱테이크’로, 신설된 세로영화를 포함해 단편영화의 멈추지 않는 도전을 이어가겠다는 의지를 담았다.

이번 영화제에는 전 세계 116개국에서 총 4,980편이 출품되었으며, 엄정한 심사를 거쳐 국제·국내·전북 경쟁 등 총 69편의 상영작이 최종 선정됐다.

17일 열리는 개막식은 배우 장요훈·한누리의 사회와 김윤정 대표(지무단)의 무예검무 축하 공연으로 포문을 연다.

개막작으로는 세로 프레임을 도입한 <안드로이드는 바람의 꿈을 꾸는가>를 비롯해 <죽음의 탱고>(폴란드), <이것은 내 소가 아니다>(대만), <하늘에 별따기>(한국) 등 독창적인 4편의 작품이 관객을 만난다.

행사 기간 중인 18일과 19일에는 ‘입양’과 ‘세로영화’를 주제로 한 학술대회가 각각 진행되며, 20일 시상식을 통해 각 부문 수상작을 발표할 예정이다.

The 9th Jeonju International Short Film Festival will be held at Jeonju CGV Gosa Branch for 5 days from the 17th to the 21st. This year's slogan is 'S+ound Frame, Another Long Take,' expressing the determination to continue the unceasing challenge of short films, including the newly established vertical films.

A total of 4,980 films from 116 countries around the world were submitted to this festival, and after rigorous judging, a total of 69 films, including international, domestic, and Jeonbuk competition films, were finally selected for screening.

The opening ceremony on the 17th will kick off with a congratulatory performance of martial arts by actors Jang Yo-hoon, Han Nuri, and Kim Yoon-jung, the CEO of JIMUDAN.

The opening film will include four unique works, including introducing the vertical frame, as well as (Poland), (Taiwan), and (Korea), meeting the audience.

During the event on the 18th and 19th, academic conferences on the themes of 'Adoption' and 'Vertical Films' will be held respectively, and on the 20th, the awards ceremony will announce the winners in each category.
