전북자치도는 지난 10일부터 11일까지 제주에서 열린 ‘제43회 지역정보화(지방정부 AI) 우수사례 발표대회’에서 ‘기술과 조직을 함께 혁신하다-오픈소스로 직접 만든 저비용·고성능·고보안 생성형 AI 및 직원 주도 AI 행정 혁신 연구회’ 사례로 최고상인 대통령상을 수상했다고 14일 밝혔다.

도가 선보인 ‘전북AI’는 외부 업체에 개발을 맡기지 않고 공개 소스코드(오픈소스)를 활용해 직접 구축한 생성형 인공지능 시스템이다.

‘전북AI’는 한글 문서 작성과 자료 검색을 비롯해 회의 녹음·요약, 이미지·영상 생성 등 행정업무에 활용할 수 있는 99종의 기능을 제공한다.

새로운 AI 모델이 출시되면 담당자가 직접 성능과 활용 가능성을 검증해 적용할 수 있어 별도의 외주 개발 없이 시스템을 지속적으로 고도화할 수 있다.

Jeonbuk Autonomous Province announced on the 14th that it won the Presidential Award, the highest award, at the '43rd Local Informationization (Local Government AI) Excellent Case Presentation Competition' held in Jeju from the 10th to the 11th.

The 'Jeonbuk AI' presented by the province is a generative artificial intelligence system that was directly constructed using open-source code without outsourcing development to external companies.

'Jeonbuk AI' provides 99 functions that can be utilized in administrative tasks, including Korean document writing, data search, meeting recording and summarization, image and video generation, and more.

When a new AI model is released, the person in charge can verify its performance and usability directly and apply it, allowing the system to be continuously upgraded without the need for separate outsourcing development.
