새만금개발청은 14일 새만금개발공사, 한국농어촌공사, 한국수자원공사와 함께 ‘새만금 주요 개발사업 추진 시 지역기업 참여 확대를 위한 상생협력 업무협약’을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 새만금지역에서 대규모 공공사업이 지속적으로 추진됨에 따라 지역기업의 사업 참여 기회를 확대하고, 개발 성과가 지역 건설산업과 지역경제 활성화로 이어질 수 있도록 관계기관 간 협력체계를 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.

협약에 따라 각 기관은 「새만금사업 추진 및 지원에 관한 특별법」제53조에 따른 지역기업 우대 방안을 성실히 이행하고, 새만금 사업지역에서 시행하는 공사·물품·용역 등의 계약을 추진할 때 지역기업의 참여 확대를 위해 적극 노력하기로 했다.

On the 14th, the Saemangeum Development Agency signed a 'Mutual Cooperation Agreement for Expanding Participation of Local Companies in Major Saemangeum Development Projects' with the Saemangeum Development Corporation, the Korea Rural Community Corporation, and the Korea Water Resources Corporation.

This agreement was established to expand business opportunities for local companies as large-scale public projects continue to be carried out in the Saemangeum area, and to ensure that the development outcomes lead to the revitalization of the local construction industry and economy by establishing a cooperative system among relevant agencies.

According to the agreement, each organization has committed to faithfully implementing preferential measures for local companies in accordance with Article 53 of the Special Act on the Promotion and Support of Saemangeum Projects, and to make active efforts to expand the participation of local companies when promoting contracts for construction, goods, and services in the Saemangeum project area.
