두드림사회적협동조합(대표이사 최성원)은 지난 15일과 16일 1박 2일간 완주군 구이면 '카라반파크 아마존'에서 진행된 '제4회 두드림 발달장애인 캠핑대회'를 성황리에 마무리했다.

이번 캠핑대회는 전북지역 내 12개 기관, 총 18개 팀(72명)의 발달장애인과 지도자가 참여했으며, 효사랑가족요양병원의 후원으로 진행됐다. 이번 행사는 발달장애인들이 그동안 축적된 일상생활 훈련 결과를 실제 캠핑 환경에 적용해 봄으로써 개별 자립 훈련 성과를 가늠하고 보완점을 파악하기 위해 마련되었다.

캠핑대회는 발달장애인들이 스스로 계획하고 참여하는 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성되었다.

첫째 날은 아마존 아쿠아파크에서 진행되는 물놀이를 통해 사회적 교류를 촉진하고 상호 간의 유대감을 쌓았다. 이어 진행된 '패션쇼'와 '댄스파티'에서는 참가자들이 직접 의상을 꾸미고 무대에 올라 자신만의 개성을 마음껏 뽐내며 큰 호응을 얻었다.

둘째 날은 대회의 하이라이트인 '쉬운 요리대회'가 열렸다. 참가자들은 4인 1조로 구성되어 아침 식사를 직접 조리하였으며, 요리 과정은 물론 분리수거, 침구 정리 등 일상생활 수행 능력을 종합적으로 평가받았다.

이번 행사에서는 일상생활 훈련 가산점 등을 종합하여 최종 수상팀을 선정했다. 종합우수상은 2개 팀이 수상의 영예를 안았으며, 우수한 지도력을 보여준 담당자 2명에게는 지도자상이 수여되었다.

두드림사회적협동조합 최성원 대표는 “이번 캠핑대회를 통해 참가자들이 일상생활의 작은 부분부터 스스로 결정하고 수행하는 모습에서 큰 성장과 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다”며, "앞으로도 발달장애인들이 자기결정권을 존중받으며 지역사회 안에서 당당하게 자립 생활을 영위할 수 있도록 다양한 도전의 기회를 제공하겠다"고 전했다.

이번 캠핑대회는 단순한 야외 활동을 넘어 전북지역 내 발달장애인과 기관 간의 긴밀한 네트워크를 형성하고, 각 기관에서 1년간 갈고 닦은 훈련성과를 가늠해보는 좋은 기회가 되었으며, 모두가 함께 어우러지는 화합의 장으로서 그 의미를 더했다.

The Dream Social Cooperative (CEO Choi Sung-won) successfully concluded the 4th Dream Developmentally Disabled Camping Competition at 'Caravan Park Amazon' in Gui-myeon, Wanju-gun, for one night and two days on the 15th and 16th.

This camping competition was participated by a total of 18 teams (72 people) of developmentally disabled individuals and leaders from 12 organizations in Jeollabuk Province, sponsored by Hyo Sarang Family Care Hospital. The event was designed for developmentally disabled individuals to apply the results of their accumulated daily life training in a real camping environment to assess individual independent training outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

The camping competition was structured with diverse programs planned and participated by the developmentally disabled individuals themselves.

On the first day, through water activities at the Amazon Aqua Park, participants promoted social interaction and built camaraderie. The subsequent 'fashion show' and 'dance party' allowed participants to decorate their own costumes and showcase their personalities on stage, receiving a great response.

The second day featured the highlight of the competition, the 'Easy Cooking Contest.' Participants formed groups of four to cook breakfast themselves, and were evaluated comprehensively on cooking processes as well as daily life skills such as waste separation and bedding arrangement.

In this event, the final award-winning teams were selected based on additional points for daily life training. Two teams were honored with the Comprehensive Excellence Award, and two staff members who showed outstanding leadership were awarded the Leader Award.

CEO Choi Sung-won of the Dream Social Cooperative stated, "Through this camping competition, we were able to witness significant growth and potential in participants making decisions and performing tasks in their daily lives," and expressed, "We will continue to provide various opportunities for challenges so that individuals with developmental disabilities can lead independent lives confidently in the local community while respecting their right to self-determination."

This camping competition served as a great opportunity to form a close network among developmentally disabled individuals and organizations in Jeollabuk Province beyond simple outdoor activities, evaluating the training outcomes honed by each organization over the past year, and added significance as a harmonious gathering where everyone came together.
