정읍시민 누구나 ‘AI 디지털배움터’를 통해 생성형 인공지능과 스마트폰, 키오스크 활용법 등을 무료로 배울 수 있다.

AI 디지털배움터는 전북특별자치도가 추진하고 KT cs가 수행하는 사업으로, 시민들이 디지털 기기와 최신 정보기술을 실생활에서 활용할 수 있도록 돕는 실습 중심 교육이다.

교육 대상은 스마트폰이나 키오스크 사용이 익숙하지 않은 어르신과 정보 취약계층을 비롯해 정보 활용 능력을 높이고 싶은 정읍시민이다. 교육비는 무료다.

교육은 정읍시 정보화교육장에서 진행되며, 마을회관과 경로당, 복지관 등 시민 생활공간을 찾아가는 맞춤형 교육도 함께 운영된다.

주요 과정은 스마트폰 기초와 활용, 키오스크 이용, 정부24 등 공공 누리집 활용, 휴대전화 금융, 생성형 인공지능 활용, SNS 이용 등이다.

생성형 인공지능 교육에서는 정보 검색, 문서 작성, 그림 만들기, 일상 속 AI 활용법 등을 실습 중심으로 다룬다.

참여를 원하는 시민은 AI 디지털배움터 고객센터를 통해 교육 일정과 장소를 확인한 뒤 신청하면 된다.

정읍시 관계자는 “정보기술은 행정, 금융, 의료, 소비 등 일상 전반에 필요한 능력이 되고 있다”며 “시민들이 교육을 통해 정보 활용 능력을 높이고 더 편리한 생활을 누리길 바란다”고 말했다.

The AI Digital Learning Center is a project promoted by Jeollabuk-do and carried out by KT cs, providing practical education to help citizens utilize digital devices and the latest information technology in their daily lives.

The education targets Jeongeup residents who are unfamiliar with smartphone or kiosk usage, as well as those who want to enhance their information utilization skills, including the elderly and information-vulnerable groups. The education is free of charge.

The education takes place at the Jeongeup Information Education Center, and tailored education programs are also conducted at community centers, senior centers, welfare centers, and other public spaces.

Key courses include basic and advanced smartphone usage, kiosk operations, utilizing government websites like Gov24, mobile finance, generative artificial intelligence applications, and social media usage.

In the generative artificial intelligence education, practical exercises cover information search, document creation, graphic design, and everyday AI applications.

Residents who wish to participate can check the education schedule and locations through the AI Digital Learning Center customer service, and apply accordingly.

An official from Jeongeup stated, "Information technology has become an essential skill in various aspects of daily life such as administration, finance, healthcare, and consumption," adding, "We hope that through education, citizens can enhance their information utilization skills and enjoy a more convenient life."
