전북 완주 고산농협은 지난 16일 본점 2층 대회의실에서 조합원 120여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘조합원을 위한 인문학 강의’를 개최했다.

이번 강의는 급변하는 농업환경 속에서 조합원들이 농업의 본질과 삶의 가치를 되돌아보고, 미래 농업의 방향을 함께 고민하기 위해 마련됐다.

강의는 교육학 박사이자 ‘지금·여기 인문학당’ 대표인 권건일 박사가 맡았다. 권 박사는 ‘농업의 본질과 미래를 인문학의 시선으로 성찰하다’를 주제로 농업과 농촌의 가치, 공동체 정신의 중요성 등을 설명했다.

권 박사는 농업이 단순한 산업을 넘어 사람과 자연, 공동체를 연결하는 삶의 기반이라고 강조하며, 지속 가능한 농업을 위해 성찰과 협력, 공동체 의식이 필요하다고 밝혔다.

손병철 조합장은 “농업환경이 빠르게 변화하는 만큼 조합원들이 다양한 시각으로 농업을 이해하고 미래를 준비하는 것이 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 조합원들의 삶의 질 향상과 인문학적 소양 함양을 위한 교육 프로그램을 마련하겠다”고 말했다.

On the 16th, the Gosan Agricultural Cooperative in Wanju, Jeonbuk, held a lecture titled 'Humanities Lecture for Cooperative Members' at the main branch's second-floor conference room, with over 120 members in attendance.

The lecture was organized for cooperative members to reflect on the essence of agriculture and the values of life in the rapidly changing agricultural environment, and to contemplate the direction of future agriculture together.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Kwon Geon-il, a doctor of education and the representative of 'Now·Here Humanities Institute.' Dr. Kwon explained the values of agriculture and rural communities, as well as the importance of community spirit, under the theme 'Reflecting on the Essence and Future of Agriculture from the Perspective of Humanities.'

Dr. Kwon emphasized that agriculture is the foundation of life that connects people, nature, and communities beyond being a simple industry, and highlighted the need for reflection, cooperation, and a sense of community for sustainable agriculture.

Chairman Son Byeong-cheol stated, "As the agricultural environment is rapidly changing, it is important for cooperative members to understand agriculture from various perspectives and prepare for the future," adding, "We will continue to organize educational programs to enhance the quality of life for cooperative members and cultivate their humanities literacy."
