전주시는 장애인복지시설 종사자들의 인권 감수성과 실천 역량 강화를 위해 13일 시청 별관 15층 강당에서 ‘2026년 장애인복지시설 종사자 인권교육’을 실시했다.

이날 교육에는 전주지역 34개 장애인복지시설 종사자 150여 명이 참석했다. 교육은 거주시설과 주간보호시설, 직업재활시설 등 다양한 현장에서 근무하는 종사자들이 인권 가치에 기반해 시설을 운영하고, 장애인 이용자의 권리 증진에 기여할 수 있도록 마련됐다.

강의는 오선영 ‘사회복지 인권나무: 숲’ 대표가 맡아 ‘모두의 존엄을 지키는 장애인복지시설’을 주제로 현장 사례 중심으로 진행했다.

전주시 관계자는 “장애인복지시설 종사자의 인권 의식은 복지서비스의 질과 직결되는 핵심 요소”라며 “앞으로도 종사자와 이용자 모두가 행복하고 존중받는 복지 환경 조성을 위해 지속적인 교육과 지원을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

On the 13th, Jeonju City conducted a "2026 Disability Welfare Facility Staff Human Rights Education" at the 15th-floor auditorium of the City Hall Annex to enhance the human rights sensitivity and practical capabilities of staff working in disability welfare facilities.

On that day, around 150 staff members from 34 disability welfare facilities in the Jeonju area participated in the education session. The education was designed to help staff members working in various settings such as residential facilities, day care centers, and vocational rehabilitation centers operate facilities based on the values of human rights and contribute to enhancing the rights of disabled users.

The lecture was conducted by Oh Sun-young, the representative of the 'Social Welfare Human Rights Tree: Forest,' focusing on the theme of "Disability Welfare Facilities that Respect Everyone's Dignity," with a practical approach based on real-life cases.

A Jeonju City official stated, "The human rights awareness of staff in disability welfare facilities is a crucial factor directly related to the quality of welfare services," and added, "We will continue to provide ongoing education and support to create a welfare environment where both staff and users are happy and respected."
