장애인먼저실천운동본부(이사장 이수성)가 오는 4월 20일 장애인의 날을 맞아 전국 유·초·중·고등학생을 대상으로 장애 인식 개선을 위한 ‘제28회 전국 학생 백일장’을 연다.

1999년 시작된 전국 학생 백일장은 올해로 28회를 맞는 장애 이해 교육 행사로, 학생들이 글과 그림을 통해 장애에 대한 생각을 표현하고 서로의 다름을 이해하는 기회를 넓혀온 대표적인 행사다.

이번 백일장은 장애인먼저실천운동본부와 소년한국일보, 삼성화재가 공동 주최하며, 교육부와 보건복지부, KBS한국방송공사, WBC복지TV, 사랑의열매 사회복지공동모금회가 후원한다.

올해 주제는 ‘너답게, 나답게’다. 주최 측은 서로의 개성과 차이를 존중하며 함께 살아가는 사회의 의미를 되새기고, 일상 속에서 느낀 경험과 생각을 자유롭게 작품으로 표현하면 된다고 밝혔다.

참가 대상은 유아(5~7세)부터 고등학생까지다. 응모 분야는 유아부의 경우 그림, 초등부는 시·산문·독후감·방송소감문, 중·고등부는 시·산문·방송소감문·웹툰으로 나뉜다.

특히 방송소감문 부문은 장애인의 날 특집 방송 ‘대한민국 1교시’ 또는 청소년 장애 이해 교육 드라마 ‘알라르간도’를 시청한 뒤 작성해 제출하면 된다. 초등학생 대상 프로그램인 ‘대한민국 1교시’는 4월 20일 오전 9시 KBS 한국방송 1·3라디오를 통해 송출될 예정이며, 발달장애 이해를 주제로 한 드라마 ‘알라르간도’도 장애인의 날 전후 KBS에서 방영될 예정이다.

작품 접수 기간은 4월 7일부터 5월 7일까지다. 우편 또는 방문 접수, 백일장 온라인 홈페이지를 통한 접수가 가능하다. 수상 결과는 6월 11일 백일장 홈페이지와 장애인먼저실천운동본부 홈페이지를 통해 발표된다.

주최 측은 제출 작품이 반드시 순수 창작물이어야 한다고 밝혔다. 공모 요강과 교육자료 등 자세한 내용은 백일장 온라인 접수 홈페이지와 장애인먼저실천운동본부 홈페이지 ‘새소식’ 게시판에서 확인할 수 있다.

The Disability Rights First Practice Headquarters (Chairman Lee Soo-seong) will hold the 28th National Student Hundred Days event for improving awareness of disabilities among elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide on April 20th, in celebration of the Disabled Persons' Day.

The National Student Hundred Days event, which began in 1999, is an educational event for understanding disabilities, marking its 28th year this year. It is a representative event where students express their thoughts on disabilities through writing and drawing, broadening the opportunity to understand each other's differences.

This year's event is jointly sponsored by the Disability Rights First Practice Headquarters, the Boys' Korea Daily, and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, with support from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, KBS, WBC Welfare TV, and the Community Chest of Korea.

The theme for this year is 'Be Yourself, Be Myself.' The organizers emphasized reflecting on the meaning of living together in a society by respecting each other's individuality and differences, and freely expressing experiences and thoughts in daily life through artworks.

Participants range from preschoolers (5-7 years old) to high school students. The submission categories include drawings for preschoolers, poems, essays, book reviews, and broadcast reviews for elementary school students, and poems, essays, broadcast reviews, and webtoons for middle and high school students.

In particular, for the broadcast review category, participants can watch the special broadcast for Disabled Persons' Day, 'Korea's 1st Class,' or the youth disability awareness education drama 'Alar Gando,' and then submit their reviews. The program 'Korea's 1st Class' for elementary school students will be broadcast on KBS Korean Radio 1·3 on April 20th at 9 a.m., and the drama 'Alar Gando,' focusing on developmental disability awareness, will be aired on KBS around the Disabled Persons' Day.

The submission period for artworks is from April 7th to May 7th. Submissions can be made via mail, in person, or through the Hundred Days event online homepage. The results will be announced on June 11th on the Hundred Days event homepage and the Disability Rights First Practice Headquarters homepage.

The organizers emphasized that submitted works must be original creations.
