20년 만에 전주에서 부활하게 된 K리그 슈퍼컵을 관람하는 축구팬들의 편의를 위해 ‘1994 특별노선’이 운행된다.

전주시는 2006년 이후 20년 만에 열리는 ‘쿠팡플레이 K리그 슈퍼컵 2026’의 성공적인 개최와 축구팬들의 이동 편의를 위해 경기 당일 ‘1994 특별노선’을 운행할 계획이라고 18일 밝혔다.

슈퍼컵은 직전 시즌 리그 우승팀과 컵대회 우승팀이 단판 승부로 최강자를 가리는 대회로, 오는 21일 전주월드컵경기장에서 20년 만에 화려하게 부활한다.

특히 이번 대회는 전북현대가 2025시즌 ‘더블(2관왕)’을 달성함에 따라 리그 우승팀인 전북현대와 준우승팀인 대전하나시티즌의 맞대결로 성사돼 축구팬들의 뜨거운 관심을 모으고 있다.

이번 1994 특별노선 운행은 새해 첫 운행으로 전북현대모터스도 경기 당일 대중교통 이용을 적극 권장했다.

1994 특별노선은 평화동종점을 출발해 한옥마을, 시외·고속버스터미널, 종합경기장, 전북대학교를 거쳐 월드컵경기장까지 운행하며, 경기 시작 3시간 전부터 8~10분 간격으로 집중 운행하고, 경기 종료 후에는 만차 기준 순차적으로 출발하는 방식으로 관람객 흐름에 맞춘 탄력적 운행 시스템을 갖췄다.

The Super Cup is a competition where the champions of the previous season's league and cup face off in a single match to determine the strongest team. It will be splendidly revived after 20 years at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium on the 21st.

This year's competition has garnered much attention from football fans as it will feature a showdown between the league champions, Jeonbuk Hyundai, and the runners-up, Daejeon Hana Citizen, following Jeonbuk Hyundai's achievement of a 'double' in the 2025 season.

The operation of the 1994 Special Line is the first service of the new year, and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors actively encouraged the use of public transportation on the day of the match.

The 1994 Special Line will depart from Pyeonghwa-dong Terminal and operate through Hanok Village, intercity and express bus terminals, the comprehensive sports stadium, Jeonbuk University, and finally to the World Cup Stadium. It will run at 8-10 minute intervals starting 3 hours before the game, and after the match ends, it will depart sequentially based on the full capacity, adopting a flexible operation system tailored to the flow of spectators.
