전북특별자치도가 디지털 성범죄 피해에 신속히 대응하고 피해자 보호를 강화하기 위해 ‘전북 디지털성범죄피해자지원센터’를 운영하며 종합 지원에 나서고 있다.

전북자치도는 18일 디지털 성범죄는 온라인을 통해 피해가 빠르게 확산되고 장기간 이어질 수 있어 신속한 대응과 전문적인 지원이 중요하다고 밝혔다. 특히 10대와 20대 청소년·청년층의 피해 비중이 높아 예방과 피해자 보호의 필요성이 더욱 커지고 있다.

도는 디지털성범죄피해자지원센터를 통해 피해 상담과 접수, 불법촬영물 및 유포 게시물 삭제 지원, 유포 현황 모니터링과 재유포 대응, 심리·정서 상담, 무료 법률상담, 수사·재판 절차 안내, 수사기관 및 유관기관 연계 등 맞춤형 지원을 제공하고 있다.

센터는 재유포 피해가 발생할 경우 신속한 삭제 지원과 관계기관 협력을 통한 사이트 차단 조치를 진행하고, 유포 가능성으로 불안을 겪는 피해자에게는 모니터링과 심리상담, 법률 연계 등을 지원하며 2차 피해 예방에도 힘쓰고 있다.

이 같은 지원을 통해 2025년 한 해 동안 모두 2,305건의 피해 지원이 이뤄졌으며, 이 가운데 상담은 1,455건에 달했다.

이미숙 전북자치도 여성가족과장은 “피해 발생이나 유포가 의심될 경우 혼자 해결하려 하기보다 전문기관의 도움을 받는 것이 중요하다”며 “센터에서 상담, 불법촬영물 삭제지원, 법률연계 등 피해자 지원 서비스를 무료로 제공하고 있는 만큼 적극적으로 이용해 달라”고 말했다.

North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province is actively responding to digital sexual crimes and enhancing victim protection by operating the 'North Jeolla Digital Sexual Crime Victim Support Center' to provide comprehensive support.

On the 18th, North Jeolla Province emphasized the importance of prompt response and specialized support for digital sexual crimes, as the damages spread rapidly online and can last for a long time. Particularly, the proportion of teenage and young adult victims in their 10s and 20s is high, increasing the need for prevention and victim protection.

Through the Digital Sexual Crime Victim Support Center, the province offers tailored support such as victim counseling and reporting, support for the removal of illegal filming and distribution materials, monitoring of distribution status and response to re-distribution, psychological and emotional counseling, free legal counseling, guidance on investigation and trial procedures, and coordination with investigative and related agencies.

In cases of re-distribution damages, the center promptly provides support for removal and takes measures to block sites through cooperation with relevant agencies. For victims experiencing anxiety due to the possibility of distribution, they provide monitoring, psychological counseling, legal assistance, and strive for secondary prevention of damages.

Through such support, a total of 2,305 cases of support were provided in one year until 2025, with counseling accounting for 1,455 cases.

Im Mi-sook, the head of the Women and Family Department of North Jeolla Province, stated, "It is important to seek help from professional organizations rather than trying to resolve the damages or distribution suspicions alone," and urged, "As the center provides victim support services such as counseling, support for the removal of illegal filming materials, and legal assistance for free, please actively utilize them."

Victims can receive guidance on digital sexual crime counseling and support through the North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province Digital Sexual Crime Victim Support Center and the North Jeolla Province Women and Family Department.
