전북특별자치도가 운영한 휴게소 현장 직업훈련 프로그램을 통해 발달장애인 2명이 정규직 취업에 성공했다.

전북자치도는 익산 미륵사지 휴게소에서 진행한 직업훈련 프로그램을 통해 훈련생 2명이 정규 취업으로 이어지는 성과를 거뒀다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 전북자치도와 한국도로공사 전북본부, 사회복지법인 창혜복지재단, ㈜한남상사가 함께 추진한 발달장애인 일자리 창출 협력 사업이다. 이들 기관은 지난해 8월 업무협약을 맺고 발달장애인의 사회참여 확대와 자립 기반 마련을 위해 휴게소 현장을 활용한 직업훈련 프로그램을 운영해 왔다.

전북자치도는 행정 지원과 기관 간 협력 조율을 맡고, 창혜복지재단은 직무 분석과 사전 교육, 현장 적응 지원 등 훈련 전반을 담당했다. 휴게소 운영사인 ㈜한남상사는 실습 환경 제공과 급여 지급을 통해 실제 일 경험의 기회를 제공했다.

취업에 성공한 2명은 약 4개월 동안 편의점 판매, 카페 바리스타, 위생 관리 등 개인 특성에 맞는 직무를 수행하며 실무 역량을 쌓았다. 이번 사례는 현장 중심 훈련이 실제 고용으로 이어질 수 있음을 보여준 사례로 평가된다.

한국도로공사 전북본부는 이번 성과를 바탕으로 올해 신규 휴게소에도 훈련생을 추가 배치하는 등 사업을 확대할 계획이다.

전북자치도 관계자는 “발달장애인이 지역사회 안에서 안정적으로 일 경험을 쌓고 자립할 수 있도록 직업훈련과 현장실습, 취업 연계를 아우르는 지원체계를 지속적으로 강화하겠다”며 “민관 협력을 통한 발달장애인 일자리 모델을 더욱 넓혀 가겠다”고 말했다.

Two individuals with developmental disabilities have successfully secured regular employment through a vocational training program at a rest area operated by Jeollabuk Special Self-Governing Province.

Jeollabuk Province announced on the 17th that two trainees achieved the outcome of transitioning to regular employment through a vocational training program conducted at the Mireuksaji Rest Area in Iksan.

This project is a cooperative effort between Jeollabuk Province, the Jeollabuk Branch of the Korea Expressway Corporation, the Changhye Welfare Foundation, and Hanam Corporation to create jobs for individuals with developmental disabilities. These organizations signed a business agreement in August last year to operate a vocational training program utilizing the rest area site to expand social participation and establish independent living for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Jeollabuk Province was responsible for administrative support and coordination among organizations, while the Changhye Welfare Foundation handled job analysis, pre-employment education, on-site adaptation support, and other aspects of the training. Hanam Corporation, the operator of the rest area, provided practical work experience through offering internship opportunities and salary payments.

The two individuals who successfully secured employment accumulated practical skills by performing tasks such as convenience store sales, café barista work, and hygiene management tailored to their individual characteristics over a period of about four months. This case is evaluated as an example showing that on-site training can lead to actual employment.

Based on this achievement, the Jeollabuk Branch of the Korea Expressway Corporation plans to expand the project by adding trainees to new rest areas this year.

An official from Jeollabuk Province stated, "We will continue to strengthen the support system that encompasses vocational training, on-site internships, and employment linkage to help individuals with developmental disabilities gain stable work experience and independence in the local community," adding, "We will further broaden the model of employment for individuals with developmental disabilities through public-private cooperation."
