전주교육지원청은 지난 30일 익산 치유농원에서 초·중·고 및 특수학교 교사들을 대상으로 ‘2026년 1차 특수교사 진로직업교육 역량 강화 현장 연수’를 실시했다.

이번 연수는 특수교육대상학생을 위한 맞춤형 진로체험처를 발굴하고, 지역사회 예비 사회적경제 기업과 연계한 직업교육 모델을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

연수에 참여한 교사들은 익산 특화 재배 작물인 감초를 활용해 감초 양갱 만들기와 감초 비누 만들기 등 체험 활동을 직접 수행했다. 이 과정에서 학생 눈높이에 맞는 공정 구성과 소근육 발달, 직업적 흥미 유발 가능성 등을 살폈다.

연수 장소인 치유농원은 지역 특화 작물을 재배·가공하는 예비 사회적기업으로, 특수교육대상학생 친화적 작업 환경과 교육 콘텐츠를 갖추고 있어 향후 진로직업교육 체험처로 활용 가능성이 검토됐다.

연수에 참여한 한 교사는 “감초를 활용해 양갱과 비누를 만드는 과정이 직관적이어서 학생들도 성취감을 느낄 수 있을 것 같다”며 “전주 인근의 예비 사회적기업 체험처를 알게 돼 현장 체험학습 계획에 도움이 될 것 같다”고 말했다.

채선영 전주교육장은 “앞으로도 지역사회와 연계한 진로직업체험처를 지속적으로 발굴하고, 교사들의 실질적인 직업교육 역량 강화를 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

On the 30th of last month, the Jeonju Education Support Office conducted the '2026 1st Special Education Teacher Career Development Field Training' for elementary, middle, high school, and special school teachers at the Ik-san Healing Farm.

This training was organized to discover tailored career experience sites for special education students and to explore vocational education models linked with local community prospective social economy enterprises.

The participating teachers engaged in experiential activities such as making licorice rice cakes and licorice soap using Ik-san's specialty crop, licorice. Through this process, they experienced fair composition at the students' eye level, fine motor skill development, and the potential to stimulate vocational interest.

The Healing Farm, where the training took place, is a prospective social enterprise that cultivates and processes local specialty crops, providing a friendly work environment for special education students and educational content. It is being considered as a potential career education experience site in the future.

One teacher who participated in the training said, "The process of making rice cakes and soap using licorice is intuitive, so students are likely to feel a sense of accomplishment," and added, "Discovering nearby prospective social enterprises in Jeonju will be helpful for on-site experiential learning plans."

Jeonju Education Superintendent Chae Seon-young stated, "We will continue to actively discover career experience sites linked with the local community and support the enhancement of teachers' practical vocational education capabilities."
