두드림사회적협동조합(대표 최성원)은 지난 5월 6일부터 7일까지 완주군 고산문화공원 및 창포마을 일대에서 발달장애인을 대상으로 한 ‘숲체험 및 문화활동 캠프’의 1차 일정을 성황리에 마쳤다.

이번 캠프는 한국산림복지진흥원 녹색자금 지원을 방아 평소 활동 기회가 적은 발달장애인들에게 자연과의 교감 및 문화 향유의 기회를 제공하기 위해 기획되었다. 이번 1차 숲체험은 두드림발달장애인주간활동센터 이용자 35명과 임직원 등 총 50여 명이 참여해 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈다.

첫째 날인 6일에는 전주 힐링팜앤에서 어버이날을 앞두고 부모님께 감사의 마음을 전할 ‘꽃바구니 만들기’ 체험으로 일정을 시작했다. 이어 완주군 고산문화공원 숲체험을 통해 숲길을 거닐며 오감을 자극하는 시간을 가졌다.

둘째 날인 7일에는 완주 창포마을에서 창포 군락지를 관찰하고 천연 재료를 활용한 ‘창포 샴푸 만들기’ 체험활동을 진행하며 자연의 소중함을 직접 체험하는 시간을 보냈다.

캠프에 참여한 한 이용자는 “친구들과 함께 숲길을 걷고 맛있는 음식도 먹으며 부모님께 드릴 예쁜 꽃바구니를 만들 수 있어서 정말 행복한 시간이었다”고 소감을 전했다.

두드림사회적협동조합은 이번 1차 캠프의 성공적인 운영에 힘입어 숲체험 프로그램을 확대 운영한다. 오는 5월 12일부터 13일, 그리고 20일부터 21일까지 두 차례에 걸쳐 지역 내 2개 유관 기관 이용자 30여 명이 추가로 참여하는 숲체험 일정을 진행할 예정이다.

두드림사회적협동조합 최성원 대표는“이번 1박 2일 캠프가 발달장애인들에게 단조로운 일상을 벗어나 정서적 안정을 찾고 사회성을 기르는 소중한 계기가 되었기를 바란다”며, “남은 5월 일정 동안 추가로 참여하는 다른 기관 이용자들도 안전하고 즐겁게 숲을 만끽할 수 있도록 프로그램 준비에 만전을 기하겠다”고 밝혔다

한편, 두드림사회적협동조합은 성인 발달장애인의 자립과 의미 있는 하루를 위해 두드림발달장애인주간활동센터를 운영하고 있으며, 지역사회와 연계한 차별화된 프로그램을 통해 장애인 복지 향상에 앞장서고 있다

Dream Social Cooperative (represented by Choi Sung-won) successfully completed the first session of the 'Forest Experience and Cultural Activities Camp' for individuals with developmental disabilities from May 6th to 7th at Gossan Cultural Park and Changpo Village in Wanju County.

This camp was planned to provide opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities who have limited activity opportunities to interact with nature and enjoy cultural activities, with support from the Korea Forest Welfare Promotion Foundation's Green Fund. A total of 50 participants, including 35 users of the Dream Developmental Disabilities Day Activity Center and staff, took part in the meaningful experience of the first forest exploration.

On the first day, May 6th, the schedule began with an activity to express gratitude to parents ahead of Parents' Day by making 'flower baskets' at Jeonju Healing Farm. This was followed by a sensory-stimulating time walking through the forest paths at Gossan Cultural Park.

On the second day, May 7th, participants observed the Changpo ecological community in Changpo Village, Wanju, and engaged in an activity to make 'Changpo shampoo' using natural ingredients, experiencing the value of nature firsthand.

One participant who attended the camp expressed, "It was a truly happy time to walk along the forest path with friends, eat delicious food, and make a pretty flower basket to give to my parents."

Building on the successful operation of this first camp, Dream Social Cooperative will expand its forest experience program. They plan to conduct additional forest exploration sessions for around 30 users from two related organizations in the local area on May 12-13 and 20-21.

Choi Sung-won, the representative of Dream Social Cooperative, expressed hopes that the 1-night, 2-day camp provided individuals with developmental disabilities with a valuable opportunity to break away from their monotonous daily routines, find emotional stability, and cultivate social skills. He also stated that they will put their utmost effort into preparing programs to ensure the safety and enjoyment of other users from different organizations who will participate in the remaining May sessions.

Dream Social Cooperative operates the Dream Developmental Disabilities Day Activity Center to promote the independence and meaningful daily lives of adult individuals with developmental disabilities. They lead in enhancing disability welfare through differentiated programs linked with the local community.
