전주시가 중동전쟁에 따른 유가 급등과 고물가 부담에 대응하기 위해 1069억 원 규모의 긴급 추가경정예산안을 편성했다.
전주시는 11일 2026년도 제2회 추경예산안을 편성해 전주시의회에 심의를 요청했다고 밝혔다.
이번 추경은 정부 추경에 포함된 신규·확대 사업을 중심으로 제한 편성됐으며, 고유가로 인한 시민 부담 완화와 민생 안정에 초점이 맞춰졌다.
추경안이 시의회를 통과하면 전주시의 2026년 총예산은 2조7955억 원으로 늘어난다. 이는 제1회 추경 대비 1069억 원, 3.98% 증가한 규모다.
세입은 지방교부세 167억 원과 국·도비보조금 902억 원 등으로 구성됐다. 주요 세출 사업은 △고유가 피해지원금 993억 원 △대중교통비 환급 지원 12억 원 △운수업계 유가보조금 지원 58억 원 △베란다형 태양광 보급사업 6억 원 등이다.
이번 추경예산안은 이날 열리는 제430회 전주시의회 임시회 심의를 거쳐 최종 확정된다.
최현창 전주시 기획조정실장은 “고유가·고물가 상황이 지속되며 시민에게 큰 부담이 되고 있다”며 “이번 원포인트 추경예산안이 신속히 집행돼 민생 안정과 지역경제 활성화에 기여할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Jeonju City announced on the 11th that it has prepared the second supplementary budget plan for the year 2026, amounting to 1.069 trillion won, and requested deliberation by the Jeonju City Council.
This supplementary budget is mainly focused on newly included and expanded projects in the government's supplementary budget, aimed at easing the burden on citizens due to high oil prices and ensuring stability in people's livelihoods.
If the supplementary budget is approved by the city council, Jeonju City's total budget for 2026 will increase to 27.955 trillion won, an increase of 1.069 trillion won or 3.98% compared to the first supplementary budget.
Revenue sources include 16.7 billion won from local taxes and 90.2 billion won from national and provincial subsidies. Major expenditure items include 993 billion won for support to mitigate the impact of high oil prices, 12 billion won for public transportation fare refunds, 58 billion won for fuel subsidies for the transportation industry, and 6 billion won for the promotion of veranda-type solar power projects.
The final approval of this supplementary budget plan will be confirmed through deliberation at the 430th extraordinary session of the Jeonju City Council held on the same day.
Choi Hyeon-chang, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office of Jeonju City, stated, "The situation of high oil prices and commodity prices continues to burden the citizens," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that this targeted supplementary budget plan is promptly executed to contribute to the stability of people's livelihoods and the revitalization of the local economy."
