한국장애인재단이 장애 분야의 신진 연구자 발굴과 융복합 연구 활성화를 위해 ‘2026 대학생 논문경진대회 「장애의 재해석」’을 개최한다.

이번 공모전은 모든 학문 분야에서 ‘장애’를 주제로 한 논문을 대상으로 진행되며, 전공 제한 없이 대학생이라면 누구나 참여할 수 있다. 재단 측은 장애를 다양한 관점에서 새롭게 조명하는 창의적 연구가 활발히 이뤄지길 기대한다고 밝혔다.

논문계획서 접수 마감은 오는 24일. 이후 본선 진출팀은 6월 5일 발표되며, 최종 논문 제출은 8월 9일까지다. 본선 심사는 8월 중 열릴 예정이다.

참가자는 반드시 박사학위 소지자인 슈퍼바이저 1인과 함께 개인 또는 팀 형태로 지원해야 한다. 팀 구성은 최소 2명에서 최대 4명까지 가능하며, 본선 진출팀으로 선정될 경우 슈퍼바이저에게는 소정의 논문지도비가 지급된다.

시상은 대상 1편에 상금 150만 원과 보건복지부 장관상이 수여되며, 최우수상 1편에는 상금 100만 원과 한국장애인재단 이사장상, 우수상 1편에는 상금 50만 원과 우수상이 주어진다. 이 밖에도 입선 7편이 선정될 예정이다.

참가 희망자는 한국장애인재단 사업 공고 내 서류 양식을 활용해 참가신청서, 논문계획서, 개인정보동의서, 재학 또는 휴학증명서, 슈퍼바이저의 박사학위증 등을 이메일로 제출하면 된다.

The Korea Foundation for Persons with Disabilities is hosting the "2026 University Student Thesis Competition on 'Reinterpreting Disabilities'" to discover emerging researchers in the field of disabilities and activate interdisciplinary research.

This competition is open to all university students who can submit a thesis on the theme of 'disabilities' from any academic field, without any major restrictions. The foundation hopes for creative research that sheds new light on disabilities from various perspectives.

The deadline for submitting thesis proposals is on the 24th of the upcoming month. The finalists will be announced on June 5, and the final thesis submission deadline is until August 9. The final judging is scheduled to take place in August.

Participants must apply individually or in teams with at least one supervisor holding a doctoral degree. Team composition can range from a minimum of 2 members to a maximum of 4, and if selected as a finalist team, the supervisor will receive a designated thesis supervision fee.

The awards include a prize of 1.5 million won and the Minister of Health and Welfare Award for the grand prize winner, 1 million won and the Chairman's Award from the Korea Foundation for Persons with Disabilities for the outstanding prize winner, and 500,000 won for the excellence prize winner. Additionally, 7 honorable mentions will be selected.
