전주시는 27일 (사)전라북도중증장애인 자립생활연대 5층 교육실에서 ‘2026년 제1회 자립지원위원회’를 열고 자립 대상자 심의 및 지원 방안을 논의했다.

이날 회의에는 자립지원위원회 위원 8명과 시 장애인복지과 자립지원팀, 수행기관 전담 인력 등이 참석해 장애인의 자립을 위한 실질적 지원 방안을 집중 검토했다.

이 자리에서 위원회는 학대피해쉼터에 거주 중인 홍모 씨를 자립대상자로 정하고, 지원 필요성과 적합성, 개인별 지원계획을 면밀하게 검토했다. 또, 기타 안건을 함께 논의하며, 장애인 자립 지원 체계 강화를 위한 다양한 의견을 교환했다.

김선호 전주시 장애인복지과장은 “이번 자립위원회는 장애인의 자립을 위한 맞춤형 지원 방안을 마련하는 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 장애인의 삶의 질 향상과 안정적인 자립을 위해 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

On the 27th, Jeonju City held the first Independent Support Committee meeting for 2026 at the 5th floor education room of the Jeollabuk-do Severe Disability Independent Living Association to discuss the review and support measures for independent individuals.

The meeting was attended by 8 members of the Independent Support Committee, officials from the city's Disability Welfare Department, Independent Support Team, and dedicated personnel from implementing agencies, who focused on discussing practical support measures for the independence of people with disabilities.

During the meeting, the committee designated Ms. Hong, who resides in a shelter for abuse victims, as a candidate for independence, thoroughly discussing the necessity and suitability of support, as well as individual support plans. They also discussed other agenda items and exchanged various opinions to strengthen the support system for the independence of people with disabilities.

Kim Sun-ho, the head of Jeonju City's Disability Welfare Department, stated, "This Independent Committee meeting will be a crucial opportunity to establish tailored support measures for the independence of people with disabilities," adding, "We will continue to actively strive for improving the quality of life and stable independence of people with disabilities in the future."
