The Palbok Art Factory, a multi-cultural arts space operated by the Jeonju Cultural Foundation, will be hosting the 2026 Palbok Creative Open Studio "MONTA9E: Montaju" from the 16th to the 18th.

This open studio event is designed to allow citizens to experience the creative process and artistic world of the 9th generation resident artists up close, and to directly communicate with the artists. "MONTA9E: Montaju" symbolizes the convergence of different artists' creative worlds in one space to create new artistic experiences.

During the event, visitors can tour the studios of 7 teams of 9th generation resident artists, including artists Gu Yoon-ji, Min Hye-gi, Park Jung-min, Park Hyun-jun, Lee Jang-wook, and Jo Min-ji, as well as STUDIO1750. The one-day classes will start with a workshop titled "City of Light - Participatory City Creation Workshop Using Plastic Molds" on the 16th, followed by "Making Letter Tempura Together" and "Imagining the Future with Discovered Objects (Flat Relief)" on the 17th. On the 18th, "Similar Hearts, Different Shapes: Sensory Clay Workshop" and "Making Memory-Encapsulating Cassette Keychains" will take place.

In particular, "Making Letter Tempura Together" is an experiential program where participants fry rice paper in oil to experience changes in letter shapes. Through various creative activities such as city creation using plastic molds, flat relief, clay work, and cassette keychain making, participants can experience the artists' working methods. The one-day classes will recruit 8 participants per program, and participation is free.

The event will run from 10 am to 6 pm daily, with visitor entry closing at 5 pm. Registration for the one-day classes will open on October 13th at 10 am on a first-come, first-served basis.
