전주 평화동에서 운영되는 ‘청소년 사랑의 밥차’에 익명의 여성이 쌀을 기부한 데 이어, 이를 배달한 쌀집 대표도 후원에 동참했다.

사단법인 한국아름다운공동체(이사장 두재균)에 따르면, 지난 16일 70대로 보이는 여성이 평화동의 한 쌀집을 찾아 청소년 사랑의 밥차에 전달해 달라며 20kg 쌀 9포와 자원봉사자들을 위한 음료수 1박스를 결제했다. 이 여성은 이름과 연락처를 남기지 않았다.

쌀을 배달한 쌀집 대표도 기부 취지에 공감해 20kg 쌀 1포를 보탰다. 이에 밥차에 전달된 쌀은 총 200kg으로 늘었다. 쌀집 대표는 앞으로 매월 정기 후원도 하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.

청소년 사랑의 밥차는 청소년들이 지역 주민들과 함께 식사할 수 있도록 한국아름다운공동체가 사랑·희망봉사단과 협력해 매주 운영하는 활동이다.

두재균 이사장은 “청소년들을 위해 쌀을 내어주신 익명의 기부자와 그 마음에 동참해주신 쌀집 대표께 감사드린다”며 “지역사회가 청소년들에게 더 많은 관심을 가질 수 있도록 밥차 운영에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

An anonymous woman donated rice to the 'Youth Love Food Truck' operated in Pyeonghwa-dong, Jeonju, and the rice shop owner who delivered it also joined in the sponsorship.

According to the Korea Beautiful Community Association (Chairman Du Jae-kyun), on the 16th, a woman who appeared to be in her 70s visited a rice shop in Pyeonghwa-dong and paid for 20kg of rice in 9 bags and a box of drinks for volunteers, asking for it to be delivered to the Youth Love Food Truck. The woman did not leave her name or contact information.

The rice shop owner who delivered the rice also sympathized with the donation purpose and donated an additional 20kg of rice. As a result, the total amount of rice delivered to the food truck increased to 200kg. The rice shop owner expressed the intention to make regular donations every month in the future.

The Youth Love Food Truck is an activity operated weekly by the Korea Beautiful Community in cooperation with the Love and Hope Volunteer Group, allowing youth to have meals with local residents.

Chairman Du Jae-kyun expressed gratitude to the anonymous donor who provided rice for the youth and the rice shop owner who joined in, saying, "I will strive to operate the food truck so that the local community can show more interest in the youth."
