재단법인 강암서예학술재단(이사장 송현숙)이 주최하고, 전주시가 후원하는 ‘한 낱말 글씨전’ 서울전이 오는 28일부터 11월 3일까지 인사동 한국미술관(1~2관)에서, 전주전은 오는 11월 6일부터 11월 12일까지 전북특별자치도예술회관 1층 기스락 1~2실에서 각 7일간씩 개최된다.

서울전 개막식은 28일 오후 4시 30, 전주전 개막식은 11월 6일 오후 4시 30분 진행된다.

이번 전시회는 전국의 서예 작가들이 긴 시나 문장 대신에 짧은 한 단어(꽃, 마음, 사랑, 시나브로 등)가 지닌 조형미와 그 안에 담긴 깊은 의미를 서예라는 미학적 도구를 통해 재해석하여 선보이는 자리다.

특히 총 전시작 117점 중 85점(72%)이 한글 서제로 구성되어 한글 단어의 다채로운 조형미를 여러 각도에서 감상할 수 있다.

The Kangam Calligraphy and Art Foundation (Chairman Song Hyun-sook), sponsored by Jeonju City, will host the 'One Word Calligraphy Exhibition' Seoul Exhibition from October 28 to November 3 at the Hanok Art Museum in Insa-dong (Rooms 1-2), and the Jeonju Exhibition will be held from November 6 to November 12 at the 1st floor Kisulak Rooms 1-2 of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Art Center, each for 7 days.

The opening ceremony for the Seoul Exhibition will take place at 4:30 pm on the 28th, and for the Jeonju Exhibition on November 6 at 4:30 pm.

This exhibition showcases calligraphy artists from across the country reinterpreting the profound meanings contained within short single words (such as flower, heart, love, and sincerity) through the aesthetic tool of calligraphy, instead of long poems or sentences.

In particular, out of a total of 117 works on display, 85 pieces (72%) are composed in Korean calligraphy, allowing viewers to appreciate the diverse aesthetic beauty of Korean words from various perspectives.
