To enhance the completeness of the integrated care service in Jeonju, the city will provide assistive devices such as manual wheelchairs for free to the recipients of the integrated care service.

On the 19th, the city signed a business agreement with the Jeollabuk Special Self-Governing Province Assistive Device Center to promote the rental of assistive devices for the recipients of the integrated care service.

This agreement aims to support the recipients of integrated care who face difficulties in daily life and mobility by providing necessary assistive devices to reduce economic burdens and establish a cooperative system to enable a safer and more independent life in the local community.

Through this agreement, both institutions have agreed to actively identify recipients in need of assistive devices and cooperate to provide tailored support according to the individual needs of the recipients.

Specifically, the city will be responsible for identifying recipients and coordinating services, while the Jeollabuk Special Self-Governing Province Assistive Device Center will provide professional services such as device rental, customized modifications and production, and utilization education.

Key support includes long-term rental of mobility aids like manual wheelchairs and walkers, short-term rental of various assistive devices like bath chairs and safety handles, customized modifications and production of assistive devices according to individual needs, and education on safe usage.

The rental of assistive devices is free, but users are responsible for the cost of materials needed for modifications and production.

In particular, the city plans to conduct education in conjunction with the integrated care regional specialized services to ensure that recipients can safely and effectively utilize the assistive devices.

The goal is to reduce daily inconveniences and support independent living within the local community.
